Just wanted to know if in such cases were the one who is replying to several people using a single reply for each of the persons instead of quoting all together and reply in a single post only... is it considered spam? Because lately I've seen some doing it and it seem their getting away with posting to increase their count and earnings, for instance in the following case:

The thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1246036.0

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Posting multiple replies directly one under another in my book is definition of spamming. We have edit button for a reason!
Posting in this manner all the time is clearly boosting your post count and it shouldn't be allowed.

yeah it happens everyday, with just about every user on this forum that's enrolled in the yobit sig campaign.
just report one of their posts detailing the spam and they should pass the info along to the admins if they feel a ban is in order.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

Some users like SebastianJu do it too, and their reason is:
You should make your points in a single post instead of multiple posting mate

I think it's fine when i want to answer multiple persons. I know that i would overread everything when the first part of a post is not interesting to me and i would not see when the post includes answers to other users too. Since mostly those other quotes are only split mainquotes.
IDK about sig spammers though.

True but most members don't check back a post to see if its edited or not, but I still edit my post accordingly if a new reply is given only if its close to the last post in the thread so that it can be viewable when the person checks back for new replies.

He is just following the advise of a signature campaign manager which is to create a topic, but campaign manager did not say answer all posts on a different window. If answer is just "thank you", it should have been been included or posted on just one post with different quotes from other users. Anyway, different strokes for different folks.

Yes. This is obvious post padding. If you have to reply to more people at the same time then please learn how to properly format posts and do so. There is no valid (good) reason for someone to be doing this instead of properly writing it in a single post. Also similar things apply to people posting constant "updates" (a few in a row) in their threads.

Altough i do agree with the last part, i do think there might be geniune uses for this to...
Personally, i have a loan thread with 80% of the posts being mine... Why don't i just edit my OP, but insist to post a message each time somebody takes a loan, asks for a quote, repays a loan or my rules change? Because i can clearly show the timestamp of the unedited post... but only if i post a new message, not when i edit the OP (only the timestamp of the last change would be shown).

If i were to edit my OP for each loan payment, repayment, quote or rulechange, without posting a new post on my thread, i could never prove i didn't just change the repayment schedule, the rule,.... in order to scam a borrower.

It's extremely easy to quote multiple posts at once. Quoting an entire post from the thread you're replying to is a click away, there's no excuse replying multiple times one below the other to provide answers to other posters while you could have done it in a single post. As others said, this fits the definition of spamming quite well. Hope this guy will learn his lesson. :p

Typical yobit spammer/scammer. What do you expect when nobody is checking their posts.

Yes indeed, that's my opinion as well and I thought it wasn't due to them getting away but clearly it's a spam and action will be taken surely if noticed

yeah it happens everyday, with just about every user on this forum that's enrolled in the yobit sig campaign.

I will, from now on... If I'm not wrong there are few as well from other campaigns which if I find them, i'll be reporting them as well, thank you

True but most members don't check back a post to see if its edited or not, but I still edit my post accordingly if a new reply is given only if its close to the last post in the thread so that it can be viewable when the person checks back for new replies.
You have a point there but in this case the guy just posted each reply to the previous post in an interval matter which all could have been done in a single post only

He is just following the advise of a signature campaign manager which is to create a topic, but campaign manager did not say answer all posts on a different window. If answer is just "thank you", it should have been been included or posted on just one post with different quotes from other users. Anyway, different strokes for different folks.
Exactly and the funny thing here is the thread he created is "If you don't have any ideas, you shouldn't even complain." which it's purpose is how some don't have any idea on helping Bitcoin where as all he does is spamming the forum and a good quote for him would be" If you have something to say, if it could be done in a single post, make it in a single post" since his just doing the obvious spam

Yes. This is obvious post padding. If you have to reply to more people at the same time then please learn how to properly format posts and do so. There is no valid (good) reason for someone to be doing this instead of properly writing it in a single post. Indeed, I was just surprised that his a Sr.member and the way he does the postings were as if he was a newbie...and also for the update part, I do agree, previous updates could be added to the first official post of thread with like a windows stating the change log and the new one's only staying as the last one post on the thread itself

It's extremely easy to quote multiple posts at once. Quoting an entire post from the thread you're replying to is a click away, there's no excuse replying multiple times one below the other to provide answers to other posters while you could have done it in a single post. Have the same feeling as you, hope action will be given and eventually he learns...the problem with most is, they always tend to do the simplest things wrong

Typical yobit spammer/scammer. What do you expect when nobody is checking their posts.
Unfortunately your right... so far I've seen only one constructive and well written poster from yobit campaign (forgot his name , a high rank person with some positive trust) and the rest are complete crap posters overall even though some post good now and then... It's does have a damaging image to the community and hope they could change one day... How hard for them could be to just check for God's sake (all I see since before was that they pretended that they check which they just did a quick one instead of a overall checking

Thanks for everyone's answer, I will be locking this thread now as it has served it's purpose and I got the answer, in which I will be reporting these cases when I spot one.
