With casinos situation is completely different.
As you probably know every casino to to pay at least maintenance costs must have house edge on + . So their odds are always over 50% - it is logic that in long run gambling against casino can not be profitable.

I think it all depends on the gambler, if the gambler is really good then I would say that it is profitable in the long. On the other hand, if we are just a typical gambler then we will lose big in the long run. Winning is hard in gambling especially in the long run, you need to be very good to achieve it. |

Gambling will be only profitable when you are lucky and it doesnt matter for how long you are playing so that is the problem with gambling it is not to be easy to be rich with gambling. Because to get lucky in gambling happens not that often and that is the problem of gambling and you will get easily addicted to it. But gambling will be not that bad if you are losing a bit money but you must dont make yourself poor. |

I wonder how will your Dice rolling skills will develop after year or two of constant playing. Same with Roulette and Black Jack. Lets face it, the only kind of gambling activity you could upgrade your chances of winning in is sport betting, and even if you know everything about the teams - upsets still could happen. |

Yes, there are a lot of strategy and statistics to favor your luck. As of example I bet on Roger Federar and Novak Djokovick in every game in the last Australian open tournament and my ROI was great. If they both had lost in semifinals, I would still had been in profit. But again we could not ignore fate. Sometimes good players are also beaten at the hands of dark horses. Yup! even when they are good players and best at what they do they are not Undefeated and can lose sometimes and in gambling that has large risk it is possible that they can still taste defeat and that is a fact. |

It will be only profitable when you are lucky and that happens not that often so that is really rare and in the most cases there are a lot of people that is losing some money with it.
And it is really hard to know what the value will be and what you can lose and win with gambling.

Yeah, It's always depended on something. If you hit that right spot there's no doubt that you could get a profit in the long run, but the chances on this are very slim. Your right that it depend on experience, mode on how you play it, the amount your willing to lose and the type of game on what you play. This is why it's very hard to get a profit out of it, you need to be extremely lucky to get a profit. |
