UPDATE: Over 136,000 SPACE has been burned to date, You have until DEC 30 to burn the rest. Mine it, Stake it, and burn it!  Grin

So until now we burned only 3,4% of all the spacecoins? Last time i checked the block explorer reported 4 million coins still around... I think that maybe 25% would be the max we will do

I am fine with that to be honest. I'm currently sitting on about 150k space myself which I plan to dump on the last day. Just staking right now and will continue to buy when the price is right. There is still elevated trade volume beyond what I am doing in the Space market, that could also be do to the threat of delisting, who knows. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

For what i know yobit only delists coins if have serious problems on the code, as you can check even by yourself there are coins which last block are old of months, i don't know of which exchange you were talking about spacecoin delisting

Balcksmith made the comment that he will most likely delist both selfi and space do to the burn. He said this around the first day of the burn. I have no idea if he plans to follow through with that. You are right that Yobit rarely delists coins, I was just going on what he said. Below is the direct quote from him.

Quote
BlackSmith LX: dominikherzog, we don't support such swaps, especially on another exchanges. probably these coins will be delisted

At this point my question is if you told BlackSmith about the deadline, because most likely he will do the delist at the end of the month or even after 24 hours from the deadline... And now that i think about what about that on the last day the ammount is increased from 0.25 dgcs to just 0.30 to make an incentive for the final?

I plan to send him a full report on the last day. At that point he will do whatever he wants, I have no control of Yobit. I can't change the exchange rate because it would not be fair to those who have allready burned. I have however learned a lot from this first burn, and will make necessary adjustments for the next burn to ensure better burn incentive. If we get 25%, I will be happy, although I would have liked more.

I will also be sending a full report to coinmarketcap on both SPACE and DGCS so the marketcaps and coin supplies can be adjusted.

1. for what i could notice from the link there isn't an exchange for hkc so will be a little hard to find out the value

2. you know the actual difficulty of the pow?

3. intristin maybe will have other plans so we only need to wait and see what he says about

4. maybe at this point intristin should open a suggestion thread and start a vote, so maybe the next burning will get more attention

We will only burn coins on an active exchange with a functioning wallet. I don't care about a block explorer, I can host that myself as well as nodes. But at the end of the day, it has to be listed on an exchange.

Suggestions are more then welcome.  Grin

anyway we are at half of the burning of spacecoin and i think we need to see other coins to burn and if possible see how to fix the actual problem of the price because if goes on can be a little problem (at least let's try to put it back to 100 sat)

1. true but maybe btcpool or yobit could help - i might even spend some of my own money to get it back on an exchange

2. "difficulty" : 1.23594976 - could be mined with cpu in the wallet via "setgenerate true" 187.5HKC / block

3. just a suggestion - community will decide

4. voting would be great

Price is hard to set, we have zigzagged with Space from being worth to burn to being a lose. Proof of burn is a long term investment, not a short term return. A dead coin for an active one, if even at a loss, the choice is up to the holders.

i would also consider a giveaway of some HKC to spark some interest.
let me know what you think.

btw, not sure what you mean - a dead coin can't really have a market value right?  Wink

Look on Yobit, or other exchanges for coins with low value. If a coin is not listed somewhere for trade it is beyond dead. There is no point in burning it.

i sent a coin add request to yobit.
if HKC could be traded again i would donate a huge amount which could be added to the freecoins section as a giveaway.
let's see if they take it on board. Tongue

1. how many nodes you get with the wallet? it can give an idea about how many hkc could appear on theory

2. let's hope at this point even if i think that yobit admins will have some questions about the coin itself...

The problem with burning coins with no listing on a exchange is we have no indication of it's true value. Even if you get a dead coin listed, we would have to wait a few months to see what the market is willing to pay for it. Otherwise we could not offer more then 1 sat per coin.

1 sat on a live market would be better than a wallet full of coins and no place to trade

I would like to suggest two coins:

PreminePlus: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673760.0

Twice abandoned by the dev. Fully premined, distributed to more than 1200 entries in five batches. Coin was ninja listed at comkort exchanged, against the dev, who wanted to develop things first. Coin has still active nodes and pretty many users that have some coins, so that could be interesting for growing DGCS user base.

FindCoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=905226.0

That was a fork of earlier FindYouCoin, aiming at getting the community around discovering scam coins. Premined, one of the first coins fully distributed via wallet.
Abandoned by dev. I recently tried to bring to live, without success. I managed however to get the blockexplorer for this coin: http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=FIND

this space is intentionally left blank
