I tend to think there will be some downward selling pressure as we approach the holidays and people profit take to buy gifts and spend during this season.

Just my two ...you know.

holidays = drunk people talking loud

I agree with you in the longer term...in the short term I disagree.

Instead of cashing out for gifts, just give them the coins! Increase bitcoin awareness with a novelty gift. Then later, when they can't figure out what to do with it, they will probably give it back! Win/win.

its not as big as word press, but we'll take it.

People need to stop acting like they are Bitinstant.
You won't really profit from it except for the few cases of luck or insider trading. The rest pretty much is a zero sum game.

Ahh, adoption the magic word... think about what it means for the case of Wordpress for a minute. Anybody who uses bitcoin to buy stuff there will either a) have them after which they are sold which drives prices down or b) bought them after they are sold which has no effect on the price. The potential effect of increased usage was priced in yesterday.
There will be some latecomers buying it up to 12-13 during this week but after that it's done. If you are saying that now is the single thing that will drive Bitcoin into mainstream you are either deluding yourself or are trying to manipulate us to buy so that you can sell higher. (I suspect the latter)

I'm not so sure. The price going up to 12-13 next week is all speculation. But it's not speculation without merit. Every time someone goes to pay in wordpress they will see the option to pay with Bitcoin. That alone is a huge branding opportunity and will have a compounding effect upon subsequent interactions with bitcoin. For some the curiosity bit early (like us), for others it takes much longer. This is a deep curve and we won't see the entirety of the effects of this for years to come.

I think the moment someone actually starts delivering the elusive asic, confidence will go up and prices will go up as well. I think the block halving will push the price up as well.
It would actually be nice if asics took longer as the price of Bitcoin would have to go up to give them a profit.
