I have known about reddcoin for a long time, and had not realized that it is a POS coin!!  Shocked. Interest rate is a little low, though. How long it takes to stake, may I ask?

Was XQN not revealed to be cloak coin devs scam project?
Dev left awhile ago, and we needed a coin for our project.
XQN had lots of the things we were looking for, and hence a takeover seemed more reasonable than creating a new coin.

I have been trying to find a POS coin that is easy to stake and tradeable on market, and still does not have a loooong maturity period (not days or weeks). I have found Netcoin, that roughly begins to stake at 6-8 hours after holding it for the first time, but I would like to hear about other coins that are POS and give their first stake in hours, not days.

Can anyoen recommend a coin (or more than one) with those features?

Thanks in advance

OP should perhaps look into Fibre and IOcoin, let me know what you think Smiley

you can "pool" stake at gambling sites to increase your investment even more.

However if you're looking for a longer term investment, check out nxt.

Staking CLAM is absolutely retarded as you are pitted up against the just-dice.com staking monopoly.

Last I check doog owned a wallet with damn near 80% of the networks total dug CLAM. Effectively centralizing it.

Looking for decent coins to stake? I would look into CashMe: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1165889.0

Don't let the premine fool you. This coin is going to be worth 500% more than it currently is in the upcoming week due to the launch of the dice and ponzi sites that is planned. Investing on the dice site will also be available by the sounds of it as well so you might be able to make mad profits!

Every coin you stake you're up against the entire network. Staking a block is a lotto nevertheless. Doesn't really mean anything if someone owns more coins than you do. If you want a truly decentralized network, get some nxt. Forging power on nxt is more decentralized than bitcoin mining power.

CashMe would be another dead coin within a month. Even if you get hold of some of Cashme coins for free, you're shit out of luck because no one really wants to buy turdcoins.  Being on an exchange doesn't mean shit if you get zero volumes.

If you want to have a fast staking coin, find coin with low minimum stake days, then use lots of coins in one output and it can build stake weight faster then the other coins.

Probably NXT, although I`m not sure, NXT can be very profitable staking if you have larger sums to hold.

I would suggest DigiCube it has a 2000% yearly stake rate. Minimum stake age is 24hrs or 1 day. That makes it ~5.5% daily stake. And 5.5% daily compound rate. It has a stable market and price is rising slowly.

More details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1211692

This from experience, it stakes very fast after reaching minimum age. I make ~4 Cube daily (worth 0.004 BTC)

Mintcoin "MINT"
  • Confirms in 30 seconds, so it is about the fastest there is.
  • Takes minimum 20 days to stake, 40 days max (for security purposes, and fairness)

The stake reward is currently 15% per year, but is about to drop to 10% per year (On December 1, 2015), followed by 5% for the years thereafter, just enough to replace lost coins and maintain fungibility, and motivation to secure the network, etc.
The reason you want a coin like this is because if you have too fast of a stake period the new-coin creation distribution is extremely unfair and creates a security problem. Also if there too high a stake reward, the coin is way to inflationary and will be devalued to dust. MINT is a long-term hold IMO because it is fast, secure, active development, good initial distribution via PoW for several weeks before all the Scrypt ASICs hit the market, (has been around since February 2014), and is quite established. Another plus right now is the price is cheapest it has been in a while. Good community too.

Here is the latest from

All these coins have microscopic volume so it's you might as well go work at 7/11.

Also, the Devs and their buddies have a massive information advantage = SCAM...
And, legally, probably ponzi schemes or so other type of fraud.

No ponzi does not work like that. Unless it is an investment in a business model.
