Paypal is more widely accepted, but if we give a few years, i'm sure bitcoin will overtake paypal. If there's a seller accepting bitcoin, it's usually highly discounted, so that's great.

I believe few years also are not required for bitcoin to replace paypal. Around the up coming halving, we can see drastic value appreciations of bitcoin value which will eventually force most of the merchants to adopt bitcoin as a payment processor. Hope for the best things to happen.
yeah some merchants already accept bitcoin as a payment processor, bitcoin gradually be adopted by the community
maybe 5 years we will see a "bitcoin accepted here" in ebay or other

I like to pay with Bitcoin when I get some Bitcoin paid like on sig campaign and when I win some at the casino, im not going to buy bitcoin just to buy something i can buy with conventional money unless i have an incentive to do so.

It is personal preference and how popular is in their country and based on website.

In some cases paypal is good because you have buyer protection even in ebay.

But bitcoin is more preferable from sellers because of this reason, but i prefer more bitcoin.

I'm a freelance graphic designer and I've been working for many years. Bitcoin doesn't even register really. It's a long term investment and doing its first steps. I think we all agree that it is a new technology and a unique way of how we approach money based on the Internet experience of the last couple of decades. But it's far from being adopted by the mainstream, and I can see why. Just explain wallets, private keys and decimals to any common person. Plus you first need to convert your money into some shady exchanges. Oh, and the price goes from $300 to $500 and back to $300 in just a month.

Paypal has high fees but it's very secure, reliable and fast. I've never had any problems really. Bitcoin's future and goal is not to take Paypal out of business though.

Definitely bitcoin. Not a doubt in my mind.

You can see that through the premium you have to pay to buy bitcoins with paypal. Paypal has many problems as well which is annoying af.

Well, I would say Skrill!
This is because of the low fees, also it is difficult for people to chargeback unlike PayPal.

You can still chargeback with skrill. Also you need to verify your identity as well which is a bit of a worry.

The interface is nowhere as good as the good old open source code for bitcoins as well.

There's a lot of merchants out there who accepts Paypal compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is considered to be on the stage of being introduced to others. My vote will to Paypal for now since I can use Paypal to almost all online shopping sites I visit.

No. Why would that be? Bitcoin was at 1200$ and almost no business started to accept bitcoins. If bitcoin goes high that fast, it wouldn't encourage people to accept it as a payment method because of the volatility, there is no way for a big business right now to accept bitcoins, imagine that, they could lose millions. Imagine they sell things for a value of 1 million dollars everyday, instead of dollars they were bought with bitcoins, what would happen if the price drops 100$ the next week, they would basically lose millions.

Perhaps some day there could be an escrow option for btc that is easier than current used methods.  That's the only thing that PayPal users prefer imo.

I would prefer to use bitcoin but it's not as accepted as much as PayPal is. If stores and shops or even more people would adapt to bitcoin I'm sure this will change.
So for now I just use paypal in cases where I'm not able to use bitcoin.

I think for now Paypal is clearly better. It is more well know by people as well as being accepted by millions of people or websites. Paypal may have some issues such as charge backs and fraud as well as them freezing accounts, BUT as they are much more established they still are pretty good.

In terms of bitcoins and other alternative coins, they still have a long way to go, non technical members of the public still need time to understand the benefits of bitcoin over Paypal, such as very low fees and being non reversible. Hopefully this will improve over time and become more respected.

Paypal and western union are loosing costumers slowly day by day,the fact is there isnt space anymore to charge high fees when we have almost no money.
western union is becoming obsolete but paypal not yet . still very many users on there
but I am sure . will be a lot of people go to bitcoin

If large sum of money is at stake I would choose paypal rather than bitcoin because of security purposes.

Bitcoin will replace both Paypal and Western Union which are mostly required for international money transfer facility. Lower fees and no identity verification are simple one of the reasons which will support for bitcoin's evolution for international money transfer. Soon we can see Paypal also becomes obsolete.

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?
always compare between bitcoin and paypal, and i just see on graphic, why bitcoin will better than paypal for online shopping.
on daily transaction values, bitcoin has been reach $289M and paypal $397M,i think bitcoin will ruin paypal soon.
and for cost,bitcoin is low fee than paypal,bitcoin just 0.0001 per 1000 bytes,and paypal 2.7 - 2.9% per transaction,i think its a good proof.

Dude western union transfer they are charging more transaction fees than others and security best than western union in bitcoin . the thing is how we are handling that. We can maintain security part as concern. BTC is best than other transaction method.

Bitcoin all the way.  Paypal has to many fingers in everyone's accounts and they have more control than they should. If you sell on eBay and accept payment thorough PAYPAL, they hold your transaction until the verify that the item has been delivered.  Where do they get off???  I rather just pay BTC and if I have a problem with what I bought I will deal with the seller, not the sellers bank.
