There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

They're basically the same when you're only talking about shopping, both pp and btc via bitpay get confirmed instantly.
The main difference to buyer/holder is that paypal can limit your account and freeze your money, where with bitcoin that cant happen.

PayPal is accepted in more online stores at the moment. Both is the best option I guess.

Paypal is the good one  than bitcoin transaction without escrow because you can dispute the recieve if the product is defect or not on the discription as promises... so you can dispute the reciever and you can recover your money from the receiver...
(bitcoin) if you send bitcoin into receiver you can't dispute or recover the bitcoin. unlike on paypal...

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

Most of the online shops will accept paypal but not Bitcoin. Not yet!I hope this will change in the future.
If I could choose between those two to pay for goods in one shop I always would take Bitcoin of course.
BTC is faster, cheaper and only an delivery address for the goods is needed.

I only use bitcoin to buy online. I would not even consider PayPal or other systems. The problem they all have is that they tie your identity with your money. For example I gave a friend of mine my login credentials for Overstock.com. I told him anything he can steal is his to keep. When he got to the website he found that no credit card information was filled out and that there was no path to my bank account. If I used credit cards he would have had all that is needed to spend my money. I am on my 3rd. debit card for the year due to data breaches. But I have never lost a Satoshi of bitcoin.

Keep your countless rules and endless fees.  Wink

Depends on what you're shopping for. Paypal is more convenient for me in most cases, but my "normal" online shopping is usually limited to cheap impulse buys from China off of eBay.
BTC is great for it's anonymity, but otherwise it doesn't serve much of a greater purpose than Paypal for me at the moment in terms of shopping.

On my past experience with using PayPal, they always put a lot of restrictions while using their services and they try their best to charge something from you and they also have a stupid rules that could freeze your account together with all the funds base on what you order (happened to a friend of mine) but in the other hand with BTCitcoin non of these problems exist plus everyone could use it, unlike to Paypal which has limit on who use it base on their geographical location so the flexibility that BTCitcoin has, shouldn't even be compared to any other payment method and I'm hoping one day it would be the main option on every site online in comparisson to current situation.

What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

Paypal is widely accepted but many people hated it when it blocked their accounts for silly reasons

I love Paypal too. The buyer protection is great and because of that i need less time checking out every company.

With bitcoin a major flaw is the transaction which you can't reverse. Which makes me more aware (true) but also mor scared and makes me re-think every purchase.

PayPal is great for scammers. People who sell stuff and accept PayPal have no protection at all. Thieves can simply charge back to get their money back. That's why Bitcoin is the best for merchants. Charge backs aren't possible. Sold is sold. That's why I will use Bitcoin.

I try first to pay with Bitcoins. If not possible I preffer PayPal, it`s quite easy and wide available. As customer you have allways option to ask for return if not satisfied.

My preferable payment method is paypal, this is due to the fact there are not many online stores that accept my bitcons.

I hope this will change fast, so we consumers can benefit from the true purpose of bitcoin.. sending/ receiving payments.

if you only plan on paying for stuff online, shopping with paypal would be the better option for you. but if you are expecting to receive and send payments then i recommend bitcoin. because paypal just keeps limiting my accounts whenever i receive money. Shocked
