How much was raised overall? JINN+BTC

Jinn = 941'297 = (0,0063 btc jinn) = 5930,1711

BTC = 930.96250857

so the total is : 6861,13360857 BTC  --- 3.035.000 USD

if my calculations are right ... wow

why the collection of  jinn was so high?

iota ICO was 3M 1.5 years ago?

IOTA ICO was nov-dec 2015 and raised an equivalent of 1337 BTC (no joke), a bit less than 500k USD before taxes.

Since only a few bought in the ico , and these people are not day trader whales, and when you do x1700 profit on your investment only a few are dumb enough to buy from you.

Only the braves were awake during 2015 Crypto depression, many jealous people that in 2015 were playing PS4 instead of being watching cryptos are jealous to have not participate in the ICO. Well, is not IOTA's fault, is theirs.

It's true, but still doesn't make it a good idea to buy at this price.

I never thought that way of BTC , I'm here(like most others) to make more btc, and altcoins are a good way to do it.

I think IOTA is really one of the undervalued coins and it will grow up proportionally to increasing of demand for this coin.

Sorry for reopening the discussion on the IOTA crowdsale (I’m relatively new to cryptos). Here are some key figures according to what I’ve read so far in this and other threads:

* During the crowdsale in Nov/Dec 2015, about 0.5M USD were raised (or 3M, doesn’t make a big difference)
* Until listing on Bitfinex in June 2017, IOTA was traded OTC
* The initial market cap on June 13 was roughly 1.7B USD (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iota/historical-data/?start=20130428&end=20171117)
* The week before, there were roughly 5000 addresses with a positive balance (https://medium.com/@IngoFiedler_96862/iota-an-update-on-token-distribution-and-exchange-launch-ee3e56bd0d32)

Hence, each of the addresses’ owners invested on average 340K USD. How can that be even if some of them invested let’s say 1M USD or more? I know that some other forum members raised essentially the same question but I still haven’t found an answer. Did I miss anything?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m absolutely not saying that IOTA is a scam nor do I complain about any missed opportunity. In fact, I like IOTA and think it has a bright future (there were quite some good news recently, e.g. approval of the foundation). I’m just curious.

Hello guys if I am think i just started my participation. I am very interested to see the IOTA algorithm. I also like his name. The good name, IoTa for internet, and also the Iota is the Greek letter, and also the Cealdic currency (from a book, El nombre del viento, the Kingkiller Chronicle), in English a "Jot", in Spanish an "Iota" ie copper coins, equivalent to 10 Iron Drabs. 10 Iotas is a talent of silver and 100 iota is a golden sign, in the same book thanks for attention
