Desktop pc is better than laptop but you can bring laptop anywhere you want. then you can fix easily the PC desktop unlike laptop because the video card chip is built in and you cannot change the video card easily than desktop that you can easily remove the video card from cpu....

PC > Laptop

The laptop keyboards and small displays are annoying. For a comfortable workflow I need at least 2x1080p@24" with a steady keyboard and a mouse.

When I'm back from travel with my laptop, one of the first things I do is to boot up my stationary PC.

I prefer a PC. It is bigger, the screen is also bigger.
It is placed in my room on a big table, so i have a lot of space around it to lay everything open.
I find it more difficult to work on a laptop to type the words. Maybe it is because i have always used a desktop.

I prefer more laptop because i can carry it everywhere and the fact that it has battery i don't care for electricity for few hours, but for home use i prefer more the PC.

That's nonsense. I have a 17" laptop, and I have all the keys on my keyboard. It's mostly what you want to do with a machine.
My laptop is a i7, 8 cores. I can do everything a single person can do with a desktop, except play games. The reason is I have a shitty GPU.

I say that it depends with your usage. I personally own both a pc and laptop. The PC is stationed at home and I usually sue it to carry out tasks when I am at home. On the other side, I use my laptop to carry out tasks that require me to be on the go. There are some places that i am always send to work from and I normally need access to the internet, I therefore carry on my laptop just to make my work easier. This is however my personally experience I will need both at sometime.

Switched recently to laptop only, to save on the electricity bill, but like more the power sense that my homebrew desktop gives me.

Laptop is most relax now a day they are really good when you compare them with few year earlier. In the past the difference were much bigger. In the past it was really terrible when something was defect in your laptop. Also now it's more easy to get all parts you need.

PC

So much customization

I've had the same pc for 7 years, constantly upgrading different parts.

That reminds me... I need a new HDD. And GPU  Shocked

Anyone have recommendations for a good, but inexpensive hard drive? (SSD works too)

Anyone recommend a good, inexpensive graphics card?

Thanks!
