There is nothing called "Passive income" - there must be some active role otherwise no one is going to pay your for free.

Writing articles does need active brain functions and thinking. Making constructive posts and participating in signature campaigns need time and thought and reasoning.

Hence they are not passive income - in fact there is no such thing as passive income.

I agree with you totally, I also don't understand why people call it passive income, in order to earn some money anywhere you must do a really good piece of work at the start as nothing in this world is free, thus in order to be able to earn any money a person must spent time, read, investigate, analyze and react fast on any changes, and if you invest time, prefer to call it additional income.

I think they are thinking that passive income is stable income..  Passive income for i think that we can call investing in banks which is giving interest every year its a small amount of interest but we can call it passive income..
The other thing that they are calling passive income are work in your job with minimum salary every month. this one we can say stable income and we can  also called passive income but it needs to work..

For me passive income is that you don't need to do anything, and I agree banks who give you xxx% on your money is passive income, but in this topic as I understood we talk about the passive income in internet, and thus I don't think that any activity in internet can give you money without doing anything.. this is the reason  why I prefer to call it just additional income as I need to exchange my time instead of doing something else in real life..

whether revenue from the website also includes passive income? every day I take the time for this forum and my website I have to make a minimum of 1 articles in 3 days, when I first tried it's hard, but hard work is followed with great results
You write articles and earn from them, it can be done in real life too (not just with forum), then you will consider it is a passive income. People are misinterpreting passive income as it is from cyber world.

But actually passive income must be defined as incomes which are being generated with little to zero efforts.

yes I also think that running a website is a passive income because when once you make your site popular then after that you will not need to work like the beginning and you will get some profit from that website because of the continuous traffic to your site.

Yep. This is my passive income too. Joining in signature campaign is great for me. It makes me make a profit every week. And I am happy because of simple replying and maki it constructive makes me a passive income. So for signature campaign us the best passive income here in bitcointalk and internet.

It is better to first define  what is passive income. Some are defining passive income is income without any efforts or work done. Some are defining passive income is self-reliant, which requires very less or no supervision to keep earning.
If we assume passive income is what First thought is then there is no passive income. Except being born in very rich family (I mentioned same in other thread 'gradual passive income'.)
If we assume passive income is what Second thought is then there are lot of opportunities like Renting house or stuff is example of Passive income.

In order to be competitive you always need to spend time and work on your website or any other service you provide, even if it is popular, this is  a mistake of many people that they think that if they did something once and it is profitable now it will stay the same and there is no need in further development, slowly or fast  it  leads to loss of audience/traffic/profit.

Passive income is far from the first thought, because much work, especially at the beginning is inevitable to be able to keep the wheels turning in the future and bringing in the income. The second thought is closer, but becoming self reliant and putting in little or no supervision comes only after the hard work aspect for foundation laying is successful, other than that, no passive income can be in the offing.

Buying bitcoins on a low price is a passive income, at least for me. Say, if you bought at $200 and right now it's currently sitting at $400, haven't you profited off of it? Also, if you are kind of wary of investing your money into bitcoin and just letting it sit there, you can still try to do some stuff on the web that will generate passive income e.g. referral trains on some gambling sites. You must first spend a tad ton of time before you gain something passively in a significant manner.

This is a good way of earning passive income but as of now those new comers will need to allocate a lot of time for doing this type of strategy of buying and selling of bitcoins. Because the price of bitcoin now is considered as high one, but if you believe that bitcoin is going to increase more for the next months, then you can just buy one today.

There s no such thing as passive income. You need to work to make money.

Some projects require more and some less work but in general, something working for you is always a scam. Cause if it s that great, why would a provider sell it?
completely agree, work is the only way to get some income, in my opinion all passive incomes are just a fraud, and in some moment, they will run away with the money

Oh mate, you're quite limiting yourself. Savings accounts are passive income. Treasury bills are passive income. Company issued bonds are passive income. Stocks that pay dividends are passive income. There is no shortage of ways to earn passive income.  Not only is it a thing, but it's quite a common way investment professionals help manage risk and maximize gain.

What if the price of your Bitcoin never rose beyond $200 or even took a dive to less than $100, would you perhaps say, "I have made a negative passive income"  The scenario you cited above is nothing but mere trading and miles away from being a passive income. Do you notice you must have to perform another task - placing another trade for another profit making opportunity to ever be possible?  Passive income actually works like machine, set like once and forget.

Honestly its not a passive income we can not called it passive income because you are just waiting for the price increase to get profit.. that actually there is no assurance that the price kind be jump high.. almost all are depends in demand and supply.
The passive income that i think we can call if you have a stable job.. not contract job.. this is i think we can say passive income because monthly you can get your salary..

Passive income means money flowing that you don't get to work hard for it. If for instance you get to earn few bucks by uploading the pictures on deviantart.com, then that's a passive income -- something that you don't sweat.  Anything that you like doing and yet you get to earn like uploading youtube videos. The last part is hard to achieve though, getting much subscriber and making a channel famous isn't easy. But there are people lucky enough to have done it.

Yeah that is also a passive income but it will not be worthful for a person to live with with that he will also need to do any hard work to earn some more money to support his family and if he have a high amount of capital to lend then I will suggest to start a business with that money it wil give a profit for generations to you and you will not have any fear of defaulters.

These people put a lot of effort for this. And now they get a passive income without doing anything. All the ways of getting passive income or start with an investment of money or with the investment of time and effort

If you are able to trade independently, you will have a passive income. For this, MLM companies can be a simple and alternative solution.

Its really hard to generate income without doing anything and that is not possible in real world, investments are risky and may fail in long run so the best thing would be to invest it somewhere where you can have total control on your funds and gives you a power to take right decision at a right time.
