Yeah, I think you generally hold, sell a little on tops (but if in doubt do nothing)  and buy on dips.
In general, I think that's really bad advice.  No one knows where a top is or if a dip is really a dip.  If you claim otherwise you're lying--to youself or others.

As for the title of this thread, who knows if the run up is over.  Probably not.  Since this is the speculation area, I happen to think we'll see $500 by February 2016.
The speculation we see on forum is made by people not holding the amount of bitcoins which on dumping might effect the price.
however, I dont think it could be a whale one to manipulate the price etc... But there couldn't be any huge price rise until new merchants , businesses , services etc. start accepting it ,which is not likely to happen in less than a decade.

im more optimist into 4 years this aceptancy will happens and btc to 2000$ can be good to all and we stable for that mass price soo no much invstment into the coin now its genercly a good digital of medium trade

Well, if you think that´s bad advice you probably have good advice. Saying that no one knows this and that
isn´t saying much. As you may know traders speculate. Sometimes they´re right in their speculations, sometimes they´re wrong. With people that have a clue about trading this isn´t a random process. Of course those who don´t know their ass from their elbow think it is.

I would say buy whenever you can. If you really believe that bitcoin will stay at a solid $1000 one day, you would've already made a bunch of profit on top of that. Since you can't really tell when it's a dip or top, I would buy more if I could.

If that day that bitcoin is solid and really stable around 1000 dollars than is better to buy now.
Actually I am just collecting some to get more bitcoins.
Later I just think that bitcoin will be more than 1000 dollars.

maybe in couple of years the price would be stable on 1000 or more who knows we can speculate on this
500 is reachable this month and perhaps next stable price for begging of next year

The  price rise is not over and it will still pumping up and gradually increasing like we are.
because we are increasing users while increasing the price will gradually increasing too..
So just keep holding bitcoin and you will be rich until the bitcoin will be popular in public places..

For the long term you right.
But here OP is speaking of a time window which is way shorter/smaller.
And for this month it could be true that we will not see that much gains or also maybe will decrease a bit.
But that is no problem and shouldn't bother when you decided to hold your coins for a few years or maybe longer.

Maybe it will decrease for a bit.. but like before if you see the history of bitcoin year 2013
that the price got pump up fast around $1k plus. It's just my speculation and its gradually pumping up.
I hope it will happen on this following year...

Price rise is not over now is kinda going back to 400 dollar.
I think today will reach 400 dollar again.
True that for some pounds or euro is so little still.

Instead, there are few trustworthy people who are selling Bitcoins for a few more %s above the price in $$$...
So, in other currencies, it shouldn't be mentioned lower...
Also, price rise ain't over yet, it's just the beginning...

Even I am expecting like you, I am wishing this price range should go high more than current range. already from last 3 weeks onwards Bitcoin rate moving up consistently. due to Festive season I am expecting this may go more in the last week of December and 1st week of January

Value has been raising since you've made this thread.
I don't think it's going to slow down just yet. I'm still waiting to close this year with a solid $400

It just slowed down for a while, which is perfectly fine as some people can now enjoy this price for a little while. I think that we'll see the real block halving pump start somewhere in January or February. That's when it will start to get interesting. Now it's just a steady rise with a break here and there.

MACD heading down, RSI is too high, MA and EMA not looking good.

This thing is going nowhere but dooown.

Yes, uptrend of BTC is over. Now it`s time to dump it and buy Ripple (XRP). Ripple is pumping hugely.

Why do everyone of you think that the life of Bitcoins depends of pump and dump only???
What's the point if you don't have a stable price growing slowly ahead towards upside???

I never meant dump trend of BTC is coming. I agree with you that the price of BTC will likely be stuck where it is now. So in this situation it`s better to convert your stagnating BTC to booming Ripple/XRP and when XRP boom ends you can rebuy BTC.

I would say other way in my opinion the real rise in price of bitcoin didn't happen yet.All this was speculation and preparing the market for good and real rise in coming months.

The real rise in the price of bitcoin is happening now. The price has risen to $454. It should rise when there is problem in the stock market.

The price can rise at any time and doesn't have to be linked to the stock markets.
But this time it might might be very likely the reason you're right.
