Yes, but now noone will say anything bad about Gold, as they would if they used BTC...

I remember reading about this a while back, I think IS will continue to use Bitcoin alongside other currencies (cash) and like mentioned in the article, their own currency.
Still glad that the negative focus isn't on Bitcoin this time...

I beleive many ISIS peeps are tech friendly, look at all the vids they produce and am sure they community through encrypted messaging.. As for money they could be suing barter as well like i give you oil you give me guns..i give you drugs you give me guns! So I believe also weapons are also one of their currencies of choice..

A new article claims ISIS prefers gold bullion to any other currency...better they be associated with gold than with Bitcoin!

Although there are not exact proof, people usually connecting something based on their function.

For example :

Terorist is criminal group so law enforcer will try to track down their transaction in detail.

Bitcoin is currency that well known as it's anonymous currency

Terorist like something untracable transaction so bitcoin might the solution ....

A new article claims ISIS prefers gold bullion to any other currency...better they be associated with gold than with Bitcoin!

it isnt, its just that some people reported that ISIS
is using bitcoin for their transactions, it may be true
or not but after that report people star exaggerating about
bitcoin being used by the terrorist ISIS, to be honest its
not just bitcoin is being used in illegal transaction is just that
people needed something to blame and bitcoin was the victim.

Maybe they can use it to transact between members of ISIS themselves, but not to buy the real stuff. They need hard USD for that.
I don't beleive the weapons they have in Syria and around where actually bought with bitcoin.

Of course bitcoin isnt the currency of ISIS. That is just propaganda and I`m sure some people are making big money on things like this. Maybe u can tell me I`m talkin about some conspiracy teory but they make it and they earn it from every ups and downs.
But someone said : "Any Publicity is good publicity" so just let them talking about, people will search it on internet and maybe they will see that things are not always like they say on tv or some news pappers.
