I would invest 1/4 of it in btc, and 1/4 in stocks. I'm still not totally convinced btc will bring me a forturne, so this is a safe way.

What would you spend the rest on?

10,000 in Bitcoin and save the rest to invest.

So you wouldn't do anything else with your money. Like pay off your mortgage or buy a new PC or buy a nice car. You are a weird guy.

Also the type of guy who can't do math...

-----

I would say that I would split it about 50/50. Worth the risk but I wouldn't like to set my self straight such as finishing paying off the house and student loans, ect.

I'm pretty sure you're the one who can't do maths. He said he would put 10,000 Bitcoin, which is around 4,000,000 dollars. Oh...now I get it. He ment 10,000 dollars into Bitcoin and invest the rest. This still doesn't mean I can't do maths.

I'm on your side justspare lol. I meant that if he got 10k in bitcoin he would need to spend 4.5 million. Although upon second reading I see where he could have ment $10k in BTC. Your math is fine

If I won a Million Dollars and it's tax free, I would like to convert the million Dollars for Bitcoins. After buying, I just need to wait for days, weeks, months, and years to make a profit from it.

Lets say you won the lottery..

You've just received a million dollars and are ready to do something with your new found money.

You have no CC debt to pay off and have an average mortgage for a working class citizen - maybe you have around $150,000 left to pay off for your house.

You're free to spend as you wish. And invest if you wish.

Would you buy a heap load of bitcoin to sit on?

If so.. how much?

yeah ofcourse i will buy. i think if thats the case  i will invest about
40% of it. as if i have fiat in my own wallet i only usually go buy
and buy some useless things that i really dont need. and almost all
of us know that if you have money in your pocket. it is easily spend
in somewhere. so the 40% of it will go for my future.
who knows... in the future it will be more than a million dollars again.
which is not impossible.. Tongue so goodluck to us..

I think it would be even more feasible (if you honestly believe bitcoin is going to succeed in 5-10 years time) to invest 75% of your funds into bitcoin while using the other 25% to pay off stuff like bills and that sort of thing.  I mean if you think about it, that's $250,000... For me that's a middle class income for 3 & 1/2 years or something like that. You can do a lot with that kind of money if you spend it properly.

Now the tricky part is deciding when to buy with the 750K you set off to the side, which you have multiple options of either buying it all at once (which that in itself is tricky because of different laws put in place), or try and decide a time to buy each week in increments.  I would think buying a noticeable dip every week with something around $2-5K per week will be optimal in not going all in on one set price and have the potential to lose out big.

The best thing is to live off interests or passive income. You can easily buy a few condos with that kind of money. Rent it a little below the market, give a % to an agency that will deal with all the problems. Wait for the rent money to roll in and live on it. No need for luxury cars and stuff, the best thing would be to be able to say "Ok, now I'm 100% free of doing whatever I want to do with my time". Dang, that must be an amazing feeling.

Id spend all of it to buy bitcoin, and my purchases would drive the price up. Straight after, maybe max half an hour, id all half. With the money, I keep that, and I hodl the leftover bitcoin. Because everyone knows bitcoin is a +EV :3

The profit would be around a couple thousand dollars, and I think I'd be fine with that account of profit. I might even Gamble that amount on 99% win chance on primedice or somewhere and run with the profit, huh?

One million is actually not much. I will spend 90% for house in the city and save some from expenses, around 10% ($100,000) for bitcoins.

But I will still need to work...

Where would you all go to to buy 100k to 1 mil of bitcoin? You will have a decent impact on the price and ofcourse, I would not be really comfortable having that much fiat on a shaky exchange (not to mention my bank probably stopping me from making the transfer..)

Anyway, without limitations, I would put around 250k in bitcoin, pay of any loans (minor), buy 1 or 2 houses and than I have around 250k left. Probably get myself a nice second hand good car (20k, new is just a waist..) Buy some stuff that I always wanted, etc etc, and use the last 200k for saving and stock investments.

Should by nicely diversified than, with some nice money in bitcoin, real estate and fiat savings/investments.

I still wouldn't buy any Bitcoin right now, i'd rather wait for blood in the streets. With that much money, you stand to profit -alot- buying at the right time. So much risk at the moment.

The idea of lottery and bitcoin are truly opposing ideas.

People who play the lottery do so with the hope of getting something for nothing. While at the same time, empowering the state because lottery is a form of taxation.

People who invest in bitcoin do so because they have the courage and vision to see something that is truly revolutionary. It is an idea that disempowers the state.

I expect that someone who wins the lottery will buy no bitcoins because they are truly ignorant. For most people who know about bitcoin, they wouldn't play the lottery anyways.
