If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy?

I may be silly enough to buy a million of dollars of bitcoin but would probably only invest 1% in bitcoin. 1% in 10 to 20 other altcoins and the rest of the money in stocks or other investment schemes to stay diversified

If I won a million I would spend 50k$ a week until I was sitting with $300,000 in btc. I'd be comfortable (right now) with that much invested with the market in its current state.

I think I would buy bitcoin little by little at different exchanges. I wouldn't spend it all on bitcoins though. I would make sure to pay off all my bills as well. I think that if I spend at least 1 quarter of a million on bitcoins, I should have enough for my future retirement.

If I had a million dollar I will just buy 10.000 dollars worth of bitcoin and just hold it for the future. The another money I will just go for vacation I think and with family. I won't just care about bitcoin when I am holding my bitcoin.

There was no question that asked what you would do with 100 million. The question was if you won 1 million dollars. With that sort of win it would be nice but in todays climate it would not be a happy ever after unless you invested well. Mortgage to pay debts to clear, some cash for children and family, holiday and car you won't get much change. I would do the above and whatever was left I would invest in bitcoin and a few others and continue to work. Life goes on.

There was no question that asked what you would do with 100 million. The question was if you won 1 million dollars. It's not so much for holding cash for children and family, it's more about getting everyone out of debt and have enough cash stored away in case you were to get in debt again.  Like the OP said, if you were to to only win 1 million dollars, not 100 million, there's a lot more wiggle room to be had with 100 million.

So if I had to give a direct answer to the question, I would like to say that I would:

1) Buy $10,000 worth of Bitcoin (roughly around 21 BTC)
2) Buy $80,000 worth of Gold
3) Buy $10,000 worth of silver
4) Get out of debt (roughly around $100,000 which includes mortgages, credit cards, student loans, etc.)
5) Keep the rest of the $800,000 on hand and use it wisely.  This includes keeping the same house, car, etc.

I feel like this is the most logical way to make sure you have some wealth in assets as well as being able to pay off debt and being able to pay bills for a while in the future.  Definitely wouldn't enable me to retire with only 1 million.

For me i would only use 10% for bitcoin.
The rest would go in an investments and real estate.

Right now i find bitcoin to instable to invest more then 100k

I don't think transferring hundreds of thousands of dollars to an exchange would be easy and by the time you got it there I wouldn't be surprised to see the price going up before it was made available to you(insider knowledge).  You could probably buy up the entire market if you won the powerball right now.

I would get just 21 BTC and become part of the 1 million elite. That would more than enough if eventually Bitcoin gets to be a mainstream commodity or method of payment. I may buy more down the line but that would be my starting point.

If I won a million dollars then I will try to start a Bussiness online for all the various products, garments, electronics, house hold items and for that the currencies will be Bitcoins. Buy or sell anything with Bitcoins only.

If you've "invested" anything into the recent powerball, it is entirely possible for you to be able to do all these things to whatever extent you feel is needed.

I'm not sure how big the user base for these services would be, but it would be possible to prop it up for a while with even a million dollars, or until it starts becoming self-sufficient.
