Some people see it that way (luckily) but most play for gains. It's wrong and dangerous, since becoming an addict is the next step.
In their defense it is very tempting and if you have won 4/5 bets, you keep on playing to maximize your profit.

If you spend only a certain amount on gambling; you'll be fine. It's kind of like watching a movie; you pay $10 to watch an entertaining movie, you could go gambling with $10 for entertainment. However, if it gets out of hand and you don't know when to stop, it will become a problem.

naturally it is really cannot be your main source of earning as gambling in long run is lose. but when you gamble only your faucets and do not deposit of your own money and you can really control your emotions. i believe that you can also earn in gambling. not for main source of earning. but just a little earning.

Money is everything though... If you bet with a demo account there is no real bearing to your actions so it doesn't matter.

I would say the only exception is when you bet against friends for bragging rights, but even then...

Even I feel the same but there are some who only rely on this money while very rarely people do it for entertainment. When people lose, it's rare that someone just takes it as a game as mostly people go on a revenge mode and plan to play till they lose everything. I play with only the free deposit and hence don't mind the loses but not many do it.

Well when you trade money for what it is... money you get emotion and its easy to lose it all.

You need to treat money in gambling like a token or commoditiy and something that you risk to gain more of this token or commodity.

My experience in Macau was like "Ok ! I'm in Macau, I'll get some money and gamble with it, no problem if I lose it." And it was entertaining. I could have lost it but it was very fun overall. I ended up with profits playing some Asian dice and Roulette.
Online casinos lack the atmosphere, but I think some people get thrilled and like the peak of Adrenaline when gambling. Some people are clearly searching for the money though, because it's veeery easy to take a chance at it and you know the results right away.

Well you can't call it gambling if you're to use demo account since there's no rush playing with "fake" money. I am also with the people
that think gambling is not the way to make a living, and i think noone should consider it as such. You should bet for the thrill of it,
and not try to live off from it, because you will eventually find urself bust and with no additional source of income to survive. Keep it real, keep it safe.

This thing is sure your luck, you can always get a profit everytime when you do gambling because it wont let you win all the time sure their casino will be bankcrupt. Doesn't always have to be this way. I gamble for pure entertainment. That doesn't mean that I'm gambling on a regular basis. I gamble whenever I feel like I can afford it. I don't gamble when I got bills to pay. I prefer to gamble in a real casino and I like to go out every once in a while and take a chance of winning something.
