Money is the important thing in gambling if not then video game is enough to give that fun needed but gambling is much different the real money gives the ultimate adrenaline pump if you lose the game you will lose your money too so there will be huge excitement in the gambling only because of money involved.

The only thing I can say about this is that, such a driven mindset will lead anyone who is chasing money in gambling into addiction. Sure, it would be hard to say where the fun is if you are not doing it for the money, but we also have to get the fact that, if you focus too much on it, without placing yourself into the reality that you may lose everything first, then you will be so in for it and rather than getting the money, you keep getting into debt at the end of it all.

I think most of people would like to win a bag of money, some people like Lotto, Poker, Sports, Slots, Dices etc.
Personally i play slots, and hope that that 1000 x bet will hit

But you should never play for more money than you can afford to loose, because in the long run that is exactly what will happen.

Unfortunately, a higher percentage of those that gamble today play simply because of the money they want to acquire overnight. It has gotten to the point where some will say they are investing their time and money, and then expecting profit in the long run.

I do not believe 100% in your opinion that money does not matter in gambling. Almost 90% of the gambler play gambling because they want to win big amount in less time. Yes offcourse just money is nothing in gambling. Actually gambking needs a lot of patience and greater than that is your knowledge about the game you are gambling. Gambling is actually quite difficult to understand and once we get the approx strategy, we can have great profits in it. Money actually too is important in gambling if you gamble for money. Demo account is not consider you are playing gambling at all, just like what you have said, without any money you will not be able to gamble, it is like a tutorial having those demos. Gambling is when you are using your money(and not just those free satoshis), that is the real gambling.

It will depend upon what you are upto because I know some friends who want to enjoy and they go to casinos to get the feel of the environment and make some friend and chill out with them. This helps them to entertain them self and also get a good company with other person.

I get the point but you can't go to a casino if you are not going to gamble, unless you are the owner and just observing how your casino is doing. If your main aim is just to feel the games without risking any money, you are not gambling at all. We are here talking about real gambling, not about playing games. I do suggest to tell people that gambling suppose to be something that you do for fun and suppose to be entertaining however people are still focusing on the "money making" side and I blame the movies, they always make movies about how the gambling can make you so rich that in one day your whole life can change because of a great hand but they are missing that one movie and one person making that much money just doesn't show all those people who lose money there.

I really wouldn't rely on such connections. A friendship that is bonded by a bad habit can easily be broken when you decided that you don't like that habit anymore. Sure, you'd find good people there. But your "friendship" can only go as deep. The only shared interest that you guys have is that you are both gamblers. Other than that, it really is hard to find someone who has the same interests as you. If you're gambling for social connections, I'd say go out more with the people that are in the same field as you are. For example, if you are in the fashion industry, go out for dinner with your other fashionable friends and make them bring their friends. Simply befriend your friends' friends that have the same interest. This way, your social network will be a lot more specific. It will be a lot more targeted.

And since you're spending money in gambling just to have social connections anyway, you might as well spend that money to treat your new friend a meal. People really do love it when you take them out for a meal and you say that you're going to pay for it. It's like free lunch is the new social currency.

Basically you’re betting on one outcome to win and the same outcome to lose at the same time. And the fact that without money you cannot do betting in the first place. So for me in gambling, money is truly everything. Recreation and fun is just an effect of gambling because if you lose a game you will not be entertained at all. I agree with what you said as I see gambling as an entertainment only and not a source of income. I don't know why other gamblers see gambling as a source of income for them. I agree with what you said as I see gambling as an entertainment only and not a source of income. I don't know why other gamblers see gambling as a source of income for them.
