I was just learning about Bitcoin back then, so the only thing I remember is seeing people going insane in Reddit. Next time I will have some BTC so it will be really exciting, except it will be 10 times higher than the last ATH. I cant wait to see the guys selling at 1.2K and regretting a month later.

I did not buy when it hit $1,200, however I did buy when it was going up and when it was near $900. I also sold a number of BTC when it hit $1,050. I did not want to risk any higher and I made my money, so time to sell.

Some people here did, but most of them are afraid to say it. In a way I understand their same, but don't forget the volume back then was HUGE, it's no shame to be 1 of those followers. With the new price increase, they must be getting hope again.

I was not very active back then, but yes I would have bought it. Today i know better.
What goes up, much go down etc. If you study the charts long enough you see a pattern is shown on the surface.

Now that I remember, I did actually buy some bitcoin back in the day. I did so by buying it with my alt coins, only to convert portions to fiat. Worth it of course.

I never had bought bitcoin with that high price. I just always bought bitcoins with the price was low. So that I can make more profit with it. I wish I knew bitcoin that sooner.

Hey all, just as the title says, did anyone buy bitcoin when it's price was at it's peak ($1200)? And did they sell as it was dropping, or did they still hold on? I personally felt something was happening when it peaked :-/
So, back to the topic. Did anyone buy, and did they sell as it dropped? How much did they lose? Did you feel really really sad? What kind of an emotional impact did it have on you?
No, I don't buy nor sell my Bitcoin. But I did buy a few virtual stuff when Bitcoin price is at its peak ($1.2k).

The difficult part was not selling at $1200.
Every Tom, Dick, and Harry in my life was telling me I was insane to not sell.
Turns out I could have cashed everything in, and bought it all back for $900 less a few months later.
If only I had a delorean...

What is past is past, never regret about your decision that you make in the past. In my opinion, you should sell it when the price of Bitcoin is at its peak. Well, it's too late for that.

NO; It was at that time i first did hear about bitcoin and become interested. I had the intention to buy, because i didn't want to miss the train, as people say. Now i'm happy i didn't do it. However i hope one day we will reach that price again. But i have patience.

Well, it is hard to tell when the peak is or if it is a longer bubble or actual value increase. Besides, if you have a delorean, you should just mine for a few weeks back in 2009 when the difficulty was at 1.

I have heard that people buy when bitcoin is high and when the price is low they sell it. Why is that? Is that a good thing to do? Because is not profitable to me.
LOL you're wrong it's upside down. traders buy bitcoin or altcoins. when prices are down because it's a great opportunity. they sell when prices rise and profit. but sometimes the They buy when the price is high. they have a plan

So naturally the price gets higher, and smart old investors sell at high to those new people, and buy when price correct's itself.

Totally the opposite thing. Bought 2 when it was 200 because I wanted to buy something online, that never happened so I just hodl them. When It went to 1200 I felt like I was touching a beautiful girl, I tought it would go higher so I sold those 2 by 1100. Great times Congrats! Very few people were lucky enough to use the bubble to their advantage. And I wasn't among them either. Though I didn't buy at $1k+ I still regret that I didn't buy at $200 like you did. Good job, mate!

I don't think I would ever buy bticoin if it would reach that amount again. Unless $1200 is the new bottom then I would have to reconsider if I would want to buy or not.

I have not bought any bitcoins when it was around $1200, it was just too high for me to buy at the time.
