It all depends on people adopting them and using them a a day to day currency. If everyone just collects them and does not use them then they will fail but as a community we have to spread the good word of Bitcoin

If the community can not reach consensus for many things and there is no active development of the infrastructure, bitcoin will disappear. Otherwise, it has great future.

That is one of the questions I have.  Is there anyone working on improving the infrastructure?  We need BTC to be faster so that customers do not have to sit around and wait for confirmations to happen before they take their product.

My personal opinion is, Bitcoin will live on. The value may decrease or increase, but we are living on an ever advancing world, and because of this, the technology behind bitcoin (blockchain) will be used one way or the other. We have heard and seen in the past, about bitcoin dying and we also have seen big problems with bitcoin such as protocol issues, bitcoin theft/heist etc. But even after this, Bitcoin has stayed and still going strong.

Ofcourse no one can predict what will happen in the future, but one can assume the future with careful analysis of the past.

bitcoin will become unused if  the bitcoin network becomes unreliable, If you want reliability, you’ll have to start paying higher and higher fees on transactions, and there will be a point where fees get high enough that people stop using Bitcoin.

I also have the same understanding.
If Bitcoin don't become mainstream in next a few years and its value remain low I think that soon most people will loose interest and just leave, trying to sell as much BTC as they can.
It's human nature that when some new technology or product can't make breakthrough people loose faith and start to look for a next a ''great thing''.

So you are telling that even that the life will be unused because is already rare. The people will begin to not born and those who are live to die always and more young. Following your way of expression and your thoughts we can tell for sure that if the chicken make egg then is not told that someone has as name something which can be eaten. Going forward with your thoughts, your logic and your way of understanding the things the sky is red because when was created there were not people on your house. I can arrive until here with the meaning of all the above told about you. So cannot give other examples that can be at the level of your other thoughts expressed the last two words. I think bitcoins have a good futur. not much people use them and there is no real use for these people. The problem is that the people that doesn't use it is the majority of the planet. And you, what do you think about this? Will bitcoins have a glorious future?

no i never think bitcoin will disapear or unused,its same like if you think that money will disapear,and its quietly immpossible,so many bitcoin adopter,bitcoin user,and its have so many amount in each people,how can its lost it all? the only reason if internet is gone or down forever.

So Satoshi have gamble too here by saying "bitcoin will be worth nothing or a lot " and we are gamble too, didn't know what will happened in the future on bitcoin but we still used it.
I think in this case just how we can manage and lead bitcoin to a better future or just leave bitcoin. So bitcoin destiny are on us!

The thing is... is that you are completely right. Food, drink, protection (guns), energy sources (gas/oil) will be huge if something were to happen that made the internet completely useless and made a hostile environment around them.  Though this is a possibility, the chances of this sort of thing happening are slim to none without a major revolution happening.  What you are saying is that we should be worried about only the things that we can "eat" or "use" in a sense.  So, what would happen if you run into other people that need to the meet the needs that you have that they can't satisfy their selves? You think that there won't be anything you could ask for that would influence you to give them a good or a service? No, gold has always been that median where you could exchange something for something else, and I think that if the internet were to completely disappear, then exchange of goods and services would have to inevitably revert back to the oldest way of handling business... which is with gold.

I think (and probably everyone reading this forum) that BTC is more of a long term project than a soon to lose public interest thing. I think it's the future of money and at least the block chain system will be massively adapted. If you consider the fact how it been growing and yet to reach a peak that it would continue moving upward on adoption for the time being at least.

yes, i think so. but you can use the time and start learning more about BTC

I don't think this will ever happen. For this to happen, a lot of people would have to stop using bitcoin, the market would need to drop, the demand would need to drop, traffic transactions would need to stop as well. That's when the value will drop. I doubt this will happen, seeing as to what bitcoin is worth today. At least I don't think it will happen any time soon.

I don't think it's possible for something like bitcoin to just disapear. Something has to have happened for bitoin to have died or to have disappeared.
If this does happen, it won't happen over night.

Bitcoin won't just go disappear like that. When bitcoin was going up in 2013. Bitcoin never have gone to zero so I thing that it will just a matter of time that bitcoin will grow and grow in the future. We will see what will happen to bitcoin.

People are now becoming aware of bitcoins more popularly by conferences and meetups held about bitcoins in many countries.
Bitcoin also started just few years ago so it can take time for people to learn about it. So bitcoin will really have wonderful future because its a excellent online easy ecurrency to use and no any limitations on it.
