Look at this address:

https://blockchain.info/address/3Nxwenay9Z8Lc9JBiywExpnEFiLp6Afp8v

could be dangerous if someday satoshi drop most of his coins

Why would he drop most of his coins? To put his money in a bank?
As far as I see it he is living like a boss and spending his bitcoins on a daily basis.

Other thing is I am sure by now he has enough $ to be rich even without his BTC.
So no I dont see him cashing all out, EVER.

If im not wrong Satoshi has been missing for years, he didn't using his bitcoins and his bitcoins is still stored inside his wallet Wink
And i don't think we know how rich Satoshi is to begin with, so he could be poor or even living in middle economy Tongue

I think it is business address probably some cold wallet of an exchange or something like that.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned Hal Finney so far. He and Satoshi were probably first 2 people mining bitcoin. I wonder what happened with all his bitcoins after he died. Family kept or sold it all?

Most people suspect that his family has sold his former holdings by now. There were rumours that they were the infamous 'bearwhale'.

no because if he is somehow intelligent(and i know he is) he would sell them slowly, if he want to do so at some point

no reason to worry, unless his coins are in someone else hands...

if you want a face connected to one of hose address i know that the Winklevoss twins have a lot of bitcoin, in the rane of 10k-100k

It's none of our business.

I respectuflly disagree.

As an owner of Bitcoins it is of interest to me who the other participants in this market are and what they do. If for instance (a very drastic scenario to illustrate my point) Roger Ver posts that he intends to sell all of his Bitcoins, then the value of my Bitcoins will certainly decline.
As you can see there is a direct causality relationship between all participants in the Bitcoin market.
Therefore knowledge about large owners, the sizes of their holdings as well as their intentions are in fact crucial information for everybody who owns Bitcoins.

Curiosity doesn't make it any of your business.

But at the same time we have the right to know who has the most Bitcoin.

No, you have no right to know who has the most bitcoin, but you do have the right to know what wallet addresses contain Bitcoin, and only because they exist on the public ledger/blockchain.

It's none of our business who has what.

i know all accounts!

.....but no names  Tongue

With out the names, this information is useless!!  I do not think anyone should know this information because it just opens these people up to scams and hacking opportunities.  It is insane the extent people will go to try to rip someone off from what is theirs.

It's none of our business who has what.

Please let everybody decide for themselves what their business is and what not.
As I said before, knowledge about large holders is vital information in any market. I am very interested in who the largest Bitcoin holders are, how much they have and what their intentions are.

Yes it is 'my business' because I own bitcoins and I care about their value. The actions of large owners can have direct effects on the price my Bitcoins and it is thus of high importance to me to know as much as I can.

It shows us the minimum amount that one entity controls in a single address. So obviously the richest Bitcoiners own much more than that, which I find kind of frightening.
I think the largest addresses (those p2SH ones) are cold wallets of exchanges.

I know Satoshi is claimed to possess 1.1 million BTC (which would be an insane amount)

But who are the other really large holders and how much do they own?

Early adopters, gambling site owners, exchanges, investors.. list goes on.  Smiley

Have you guys heard of user 'knightmb'? He owned 371,000 BTC at one point and maybe he still does.
If I remember correctly he was hired by people in Bitcoin's early stage to built a Bitcoin prepaid card or something like this for them. Then the project was abandoned and the people who hired him never bothered to check how much bitcoins were actually worth and knightmb convinced them to sell the 371,000BTC to him for $ 5,000.

Cheeky guy

He later claimed to have 'donated' them, but other users were able to disprove this claim.

i saw he write a comment this year after 1 year..

It is not easy to be able to account the rich persons in terms of the coins they have. I am sure that people do own several accounts addresses for the bitcoins. Others have the coins traded everyday and you will find that they do not have the coins in there accounts but they are in the network working and multiplying. Anyone however who owns more than 100 coins to me is a rich person. The coins are enough to do greater things and give profits you cant imagine.

The richest guy with bitcoin is Satoshi who is known to have more than a million BTC. Other than that Nick szabo, and the guy from anarkapulco should be the ones with the biggest amounts of bitcoin.
It is no question that the richest bitcoin is Satoshi
Everyone must know about it

You are one of the richest people in the world

You are a member of the 1% in human wealth

*snip pathetic image of a complete waste of human life*

and 1% least hungry

We should grind up the poorest people in the world to make pet food. It would solve two problems at once. It would end world hunger because they're gone and provide a cheap source of pet food.

you must be in the 0.1%

see u soon  Kiss

I'm not, I'm just sick of the box in my living room asking me to send money to feed them every year. If there were more Nobel laureates than crime lords coming out of the region then I might be open to continued financial support. I can end crime in the Sudan completely with one large dog food grinder.

http://www.bitcoinrichlist.com/address/1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF?charttype=balance

This one has to belong to one of the most richest Bitcoin very early adopters, maybe even Satoshi. Rank 3 on the rich list and has never sent a bitcoin since 2011.
If you track it down, the sum in this address is derived directly from very early mining rewards that have never moved since they all got sent to this address in 2011.

https://blockchain.info/tx/e67a0550848b7932d7796aeea16ab0e48a5cfe81c4e8cca2c5b03e0416850114

This is the transaction that seeded the address

Why the hell would somebody consolidate 80,000 BTC of mining rewards in one address and then never move them? Has there ever been any information regarding this address?
80,000 BTC was already a lot in 2011

Edit: After looking more at the seed transactions, it seems this was most likely the cold wallet address of a service, an exchange perhapse. So there has to be some information regarding this address out there

That is what they say. But we don't really know, because we still don't know who he is.
I think Satoshi had a lot of bitcoin and just converted to fiat money and now is just having a vacation or retirement.
