maybe they are still holding back longer and trying to save the bitcoin they have so that bitcoin really becomes very expensive and bitcoin has started to be difficult to obtain and after the expensive price maybe they will sell some existing bitcoin.

No one is so stupid that they want us to call Bitcoin the most, if any, people who are liars. Because when someone is holding Bitcoin a lot they will never tell others because they will be in the reach of the bandits and hackers.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

I'm sure that there are various ways to find out about how much bitcoin people hold; however, as many posters already mentioned, there seems to have been a considerable change in practice, especially compared with the early days of bitcoin, and it would be quite rare for individuals to keep bitcoins in a small number of addresses.  It could also be less and less prudent for exchanges to keep bitcoin in only a few addresses.  So in the end, large holders are likely to embark in a practice of spreading out their bitcoins, and how much they spread it out may depend on a variety of their own personal circumstances, and maybe even some coincidences (which might also contribute to some reluctance to move some of the coins very much once they are already in a seemingly secure location).

Of course, on the other hand, there seem to be developments in both direction.  One set of development seems to be attempting to connect addresses to one another in order to attempt to figure out possible common ownership, and another development direction seems to be providing more and more tools to be able to allow disconnection or reannonymizing some addresses.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

as you know there are some bitcoin addresses with big sums and they stay untouched for a long time. so noone knows are they lost or someone just holding these amounts.

I know Satoshi is claimed to possess 1.1 million BTC (which would be an insane amount)

But who are the other really large holders and how much do they own? Roger Ver? Gavin Andresen?
I remember someone claiming that Ver owns about 300.000 BTC, is there any place where this is confirmed?

I have checked http://www.bitcoinrichlist.com but they only show adresses and we cant know with certainty which of those are connected.

Are there any confirmed large holders, who openly talk about the amount they possess?
You will never know who is the largest bitcoin holder besides Satoshi, maybe only the closest people who know who is the most bitcoin holder besides Satoshi, and for me that doesn't really matter because the most important thing is how bitcoin can return to its highest price.

It is really hard to know who owns it for real I mean who is the person behind the wallet's that have a great amount of Bitcoin,
We could see some wallet which have a huge amount of Bitcoin but we couldn't really know who own's the wallet .
Satoshi Nakamoto is one of them but surely we don't have enough proof who is Satoshi Nakamoto in real life .

Nobody will come forward to claim himself to be the richest bitcoin user because nobody wants to trape themselves in hackers or scammers it is all about security concerned. So far I know Satoshi Nakamoto is the richest bitcoin user in the world but pal really should we need to care? Actually, it is none of our headaches.

People who become wealthy are people who can take advantage of every difficult situation.
As is the case at this time, when the price of Bitcoin decreases, the person will dare to take risks and buy bitcoin in low price rates.
Then he holds for a long time and sells it when the price has increased.
So if you all want to be rich then you have to take risks !! People who don't dare take risks will never get the chance to become rich.
