Coinbase does not give you proper notice when they change your wallet address. Be very careful. when they do this, there is no warning. you could be in the middle of receiving bitcoins and when they change the address in the process, the sent coins can go to your old address after they give you a new address. the coins are lost forever when that happens.
they won't help you at all. I am actually suing them in small claims court in Washington State. they just obviously take the coins and tell you they are "lost"
don't use coinbase.

Are you sure about this? Coinbase changed an address on me when I was using them, but any bitcoins sent to that address still showed up in my wallet. I thought it was kind of the same thing as Mycelium where you have multiple addresses. I might be showcasing my ignorance here though.

Bullshit alert, Bullshit alert, Bullshit alert.Above user has NO idea what he is talking about. The wallet actually give you a new bitcoin address after each transaction, for improved security as it act as a HD wallet. All your previous addresses are still your's. They can all be seen here; https://www.coinbase.com/addressesAre you sure about this? Did you open a Ticket here? https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/private/casesThey're legally established companies, listed and under enforced federal and international laws. Its more likely you did something fraud-y like use a stolen or fishy credit card than they stole your money.

Funds should still appear in your account. If they don't, you didn't correctly send your coins. In other words, you sent them to an address that wasn't related to Coinbase.

OP is completely wrong and does not know what he is talking about, please ignore. You are actually fairly right. This is correct. Your old addresses are still valid and able to receive to them for an infinite amount of time. You can have new addresses made but your old ones still work regardless. Coinbase is like any other web wallet with additional features incorporated into it such as an exchange to stay competitive towards to others such as gemini.

LOL they dont change your address lol, they give you a new one. any coins sent to the ANY of your older addresses still go into your account. if youre smart enough to sue people in courts you should be smart enough to figure out how the wallet works.

you can still use your previous addresses. you'll still get your payments without problems. You can view and manage all your previous used address under account -> advanced. Please don't spread FUD here without researching first.

As others have suggested, you should be able to use old addresses, if you don't see the funds you received in your old address in your wallet then you should contact them and they should resolve this.
Kind of off-topic but there are other better alternatives than using Coinbase as a wallet, it should be used just as an exchange because if you don't own the keys then you don't own the bitcoins. Take some time and get educated on other wallets such as Electrum, Core etc. Even blockchain.info's wallet give you control of your keys but I still wouldn't recommend a web wallet.

Listen to this guy. You definitely want to use a local wallet like electrum (or if you have a smartphone grab one of the mobile wallets that are listed on bitcoin.org). Coinbase is great for grabbing bitcoin, but don't leave it there.

Just send them a support ticket with proof you own the address It should be easy enough to resolve if you sign the transaction addresses that said I would like to know the legal case number might be interesting to see how the small claims case goes.

You got it wrong buddy! Every bitcoin receiving address you've ever had with Coinbase will remain your address forever. Even if you have multiple addresses, you will still be able to receive a payment to any of them, at any time. They does that in order to enhance your privacy. You can check this article out in order to understand more about this. TL;DR: All Addresses generated by Coinbase are reusable.

Coinbase is a solid exchange. Reasonable people run it. If you have problems make sure to try and resolve it with someone from support.
If that fails maka a topic here and post the communication mails you had with them..
