Urgent Help Needed !

Hello everyone , i was doing a trade with a guy for MY BTC and for his pm , and he chose escrow master-p who is a well known here , i sent 1 btc to his escrow account , and he confirmed he received and then the person who was gonna send me PM got offline , after some time i asked for refund , but master-p said wait for a few hours he might have issues , but after a long time he sent msg that he want to do it and he got offline , i asked for refund again and then master-p said his pc crashed and database got corrupted and he reindexing his blockchain which seems very fishy , COuld someone help me please , my 1 btc is in his account

How could it be? A professional escrow got Bitcoin wallet corrupted in the process of escrow! If op received the products, he is still facing this issue! It is really affecting his reputation! IMO if master-p has backup Bitcoin, he should refund the BTC to the sender asap!

He says it might take a few hours or might be more it makes me feel worried , coz he is well reputed thats why i posted here to get help so he can sort out his issue and pay my btc but how it can corrupted

i am not saying he is a scammer either , i posted here because i got worried , and also to get some help so he can get his wallet reindexed but its the first time i heard this issue when a pc crashed , database got corrupted thats what made me post here.

I've dealt with master-p for a few years here on the forums and I don't believe he's a scammer. Seemed honorable to me always.

Always make sure you have backups of your private keys somewhere folks... if your wallet goes down or crashes at the very least you can still access and move your coins with the privkey.

yes he seems to be a nice person but was wondering if someone could help him get this sorted. but lets see and wait , and i will be posting an update when he refunds me my 1 btc.

And OP asked for escrow. But now money stuck.
What it is ? Free loan for a couple of days while his wallet get fixed? Ha?
Escrow kills people time!
Escrow is the same dangerous as sending first!
Not a first time escrow provider runs with the money.
And wondering if Master-p will pay intrest for that 1btc he borrowed?
Or you want to say me it is not a loan?

Calm down man, everyone faces technical glitches and you're right, Forum-escrows are anonymous members of whom we know nothing about but they're still more trusted than newbies who haven't traded or spent time on this forum.

If you're trading online, you're going to have to trust someone, either that would be mediator or you trust the person you're dealing with directly. It's up to you who you choose to trust.

Let's just wait before blowing this thing out of proportion.

I would not worry about master-p eventually releasing the funds held in escrow. He has released >1BTC many times in the past and I would find it unlikely that he is going to pull a runner over such a small amount.

The problem that master-p is describing is a problem that can happen with armory and I believe that master-p has publicly said that he uses armory in the past. While it is possible to backup your private keys/wallet, it is really not realistic to expect someone to maintain backups of the blockchain because a) it is so large, and b) it is trivial (although time consuming) to re-download the blockchain if necessary.

He is currently holding ~2 BTC in escrow for E-coin campaign and 1+ BTC for seperate campaigns, and has always released payments in time. I wouldn't worry much about him not refunding you.
