We just released an iPhone App called Burningman (http://burningmanapp.co/) that gives you free Bitcoins based on the number of steps you walk every calendar month.
No ads, no gimmicks, no fees. You walk and get bitcoins. Hope folks will like it and burn to earn Bitcoins

I'd recommend starting a signature campaign. This isn't a gambling site, so it would be a big change, and lots of people will be interested.

Downloaded a similar App in the past where we walk to earn "hours" and redeem free gifts from the organiser.
Besides walking, the App also allowed you to earn "hours" by attending events such as marathons, morning walks, health siminars etc. to promote active life-style. Way to go!

Very cool app! I once heard of a project of an app that rewarded bitcoin for hearthbeats, but never came to fruition. Thanks for sharing this, will check it right now.

Yeah. Not everyone has an iPhone. You should have released a version for android as well. Also, what is the benefit for you? Everyone does something for a reason and I don't think you are just giving away free Bitcoin.

1. folks you can get a free invite invite code by simply requesting one by entering an email and you can invite 5 friends after signing
in

2. we will release an android version soon

3. We are giving away bitcoins that we have - our interest is to see if people would be motivated to walk more. if we get a lot of users we can then try to get the bitcoins sponsored ever month

4. We see this as a social experiment - can we get enough ppl to walk 7.4 billion steps in a mth (that is 25000 users walking 10k steps/everyday) which is equal to the energy burnt by servers to mine one BTC - see the approximate math here [Suspicious link removed]/BITMATH

@unamis76  - we have started with 2 bitcoins for December and 2 for Jan. We will add more bitcoins as we get more users
@Raimonn - you can read our FAQs here (http://burningmanapp.co) . We are paying for the bitcoins out of our own pockets. But as we get more users, we will have to get these coins sponsored for each month. We hope to get to a million steps a day to reach out to sponsors
