The biggest problem with current bitcoin poker sites is their smaller player pools.  While the smaller fields do offer a softer base of players from which one can collect a very valuable database, the decreased action is not extremely lucrative.  One very promising network that accepts bitcoin and has a steadily growing pool of players is the Winning Poker Network (WPN).  They've been around for a long time (before the genesis of Bitcoin) and have a very decent track record.  They are one of the first, if not THE first, branded networks that incorporated bitcoin into their existing platform and they provide a broad spectrum of venue skins from which to choose.  As a result of their large network of skins accepting bitcoin, their player pool is growing exponentially.

I am not a good poker player myself, so I have no idea why poker sites are not that great. We have some pretty awesome dice or other casino games tho.
By the way, which are the best places to play poker for bitcoin? The ones which doesn't suck that much? There should be some decent options. Any recommendations?

Try betcoin.ag, they are the poker site that is the best looking IMO. If you don't like betcoin, you can try fortunejack or seals with clubs. If you want to play video poker, try out the site in my signature, coinroyale.com.

i agree betcoinpoker.ag is the only poker room that have better user interface than other bitcoin poker room sites at the moment. most of poker room didn't pay attention on how players wants a fun table not boring and ugly.
i can recommend betcoinpoker.ag as they are leading in bitcoin poker with tons of feedback.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

I agree too.  I've been playing at Betcoin.ag for quite awhile and I've been playing on their network (the WPN) for an even longer amount of time.  The network they're a part of has been around for about decade and they have a pretty good track record.

I still use to play poker on facebook, maybe this is because it loads faster than bitcoin base poker sites which doesn't also look real unlike having the real table players.
Do you guys think FIRST PERSON POKER site is possible to create, I like to feel the cards are laid in front of me.   Would love to see if it already exist though.

Try to Google "Touchable 3D holograms" Smiley. At this moment it's still Star Trek stuff, but maybe in a few decades it could turn to reality.

lol that you be very funny, or poker sites taking advantage of 3D graphic cards, like movies do. That would be a great experience overall, but I don't really feel the need of all that. For me something that would not hut my eyes after a few hours would be more than enough for now.

It will be fun, you can see your opponent blink his eyes and you can then sense, he is bluffing or something, such stuff lol.
maybe a feature like you can also chat conference to all players on the table, a chance to disrupt is allowed lol it will really be fun. Maybe you can cheer someone who is about to do a hero call Smiley

Well, I guess the cards issued is not in accordance with the expectations, and I think it's because the script system that has been set is indeed to make the player lose, or maybe luck was not on my side lately

Got to agree with the op, there are very few players around in the various sites which is frustrating.  I also am not a fan of having to download poker software which a lot of the sites require you to do.

Try Crypto-games.net. They have a wide range of games, ranging from poker to slots, and they're all visually appealing. I've gambled there once or twice before, and made profit xD

I ran away as soon as I could, didn't want to get tempted into gambling some more. But every once in a while I do get tempted by just-dice, no matter how ugly it is.

The lack of intensity... You feel the intensity when you're playing against real people.

Agreed. I think the biggest problem with many BTC Poker sites faced and then shut down was lack of players on ring table, there were more than enough players to play the freerolls but rarely anyone sat on ring tables and its ok at first but it becomes a huge problem for site owners because they don't make anything from people playing freerolls. Another problem is the trust issue, the players feel like the software can be used for cheating and which is why they avoid playing with actual money.

This could be a solution to it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1206150.0

The real gambler doesn't care about how ugly the game looks, they care about how fair the game is

But without attractive site and design no one want to go there to try the site although it is provably fair game there and have any good games. And the most important thing they wont even attract big whale to played on their site

The download part is quite common. To be honest I don't really have a problem with that. I actually like it, since the browser options are quite limited for me. I was used downloading poker clientes before I played with bitcoins, so it was not an issue to me. I would like to see the clients being integrated with holdem manager etc, I lost that and I actually miss that interface.

The look and also the hash, don't know why it's like only 1 player get super lucky. for me i prefer live bitcoin poker than this poker. because for me it's like more fair for all of the player.

Provided the software is somewhat playable the single most important issue is player base.  How do you compete though when the fiat sites have had 5-10 years head start versus bitcoin sites.
