of course bitcoin can't replace fiat. because there will be people who don't know use internet, bingo, they're not able to use bitcoin.
certainly those who lag times like these will soon be replaced by a new successor. more intelligent and advanced
it possible

Well said with the advancement something can be developed to overcome it but completely replacing fiat with the help of technology growth is not possible even after years.

Yeah we will find more people using bitcoins in future, but there would be certain age group users who will be always dependent on fiat, and will continue to use it.

Yes, got you intrigued, didn't it?

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.
Take paying a cup of coffee for example. To pay your coffee with bitcoins, one must get bitcoins first, either by mining or buying bitcoins with other kinds of money (*cough*fiat*cough). It ends up being a quite complicated process, don't you think?
Until we reach the point where paying for a cup of coffee is as easy with Bitcoin as it is with cash, we will never get mass adoption. And as far as I see it, there is no way of simplifying the acquiring of bitcoins.
i agree with that, bitcoin will not replace fiat, even bitcoin have mass adoption, fiat not will replaced,so many people need it,the structure and how bitcoin work,is cannot accept by all people around the world, esspecially people in poor countries, some people still getting hard to acces internet, this is will be one of many obstacle.

He meant to say that older generation will always use fiat  and they will never experiment with their spending or investments they will continue to use fiat for spendings.

Bitcoin won't replace fiat, but will be an important part of the world economics.
My parents, for instance, have no idea what bitcoin is and how to use it.

That is the problem with majority of us as they find it difficult to use it and they dont have any trust in bitcoin as a currency.

of course that it can't change fiat as it  will be always used in stores and everywhere else, not matter how bitcoin will be popular, it will never be main currency in any country, maybe small ones only, so it will never change fiat, it might be alternative currency only

Let's face the harsh truth:
  • Bitcoin can't be a main currency of any serious nation it only can be 'commodity' used for speculation, holding and be somewhat auxiliary money.
  • Bitcoin=Internet - without global internet access for everyone bitcoin growth is being obstructed
  • No government will allow to take away their power over creation of money, bitcoin can't be created infinitely like FIAT

There is no need for replacement at all. Bitcoin already showed to the world his strength and you can use it or leave it. But more important is how is going to be used as money or as investment?
We have problems because people actually don't know what is bitcoin and they only want to double their fiat money nothing more. With this attitude bitcoin will never be used as money.

According to me it is actually a 50-50 situation.
Bitcoin can not replace fiat is true at least for 40-50 years from now but you can not say what would happen after 100 years.

I highly doubt as well that it will ever replace fiat, although a similar currency as bitcoin may become the standard in the future. This is already being talked about, by many in the financial elite circles. I don't believe it will be a good thing, although if it is controlled by a central, global authority. That is a dangerous thing, very dangerous.

Bitcoin will coexist with fiat for very long time. But its value will rise against fiat in long term.

And many third world countries will have problems accepting something that requires WIFI and internet connection..We must fight for better human life conditions all over the world before we place such high demand. But bitcoin is just money don't care for people.

Age group determination can't be felt in the bitcoin or fiat as on requirement each get into different forms of transaction. Once fiat was used much. Now getting deviated towards bitcoin.

Sure bitcoin can't. Firstly bitcoin need to grow and become popular like dollar. Then need to proof that bitcoin is better then dollar. Same with other fiat.

It can't if the government won't adapt/accept bitcoin. There are still many people who thinks that it's been used as a illegal money. I guess bitcoin will just gain popularity.
