i am almost sure that 2016 will be awesome year for bitcoin, not only because of china, but because of halving too, it's most important bitcoin even in 2016
The halving and the block size increase to 2MB or higher will increase the price a lot. Maybe $1000 or more.

I think the halving will let the price increase for sure its just a matter of time before this happens, the bitcoin price will go up to high amount maybe even to the 1,5k but we just have to wait. We only get to know how high the halving will be when the halving really has been done so we just have to be patient.

The halving event is a big event that is going to happen this year and a lot of people are saying that the price will rise after the halving i hope so too.

My predictions for Bitcoin in 2016 is that Bitcoin will be more popular and also that more people will get to know about Bitcoin and that they are going to use it. It is hard to know what will happen later with the value and that is impossible to predict, so I cant tell about the value. But I am for sure that Bitcoin will be more used and acceptable.

That is very well said. The bitcon price is very unpredictable although we know the general trend is up.

My prediction for 2016 is a bit mixed, because new altcoins are taking into market which makes bitcoin less atractive, seeing how far is going lisk and some other coins is just unbelievable, but i hope that at the halving the price will be increased at least 20-50%

That is very well said. The bitcon price is very unpredictable although we know the general trend is up. Always it has got the rising trend but great peaks won't be achieved often and very high peak rise can be experienced at the time of halving. This time also this would happen taking price towards the minimum of $800.

Here are mine: In 2016...- Bitcoin price will fall below $200
- New altchains will start taking over Cryptoland
- Bitfinex will likely go bankrupt
- Altcoins maket share will grow significantly
- Meanwhile Litecoin price will fall below $1
- And ETH price will touch (or will be close to) its pre-sale
- At least one Chinese exchange will be shut down
- First altcoin w/ market capitalization > 1M BTC
Make yours. Time will tell who is right... my predictions for 2016 are pretty simple, first of all, bitcoin will be even more popular because of more and more gambling sites, and more real life stores accepts bitcoins, of course almost every online store accepts them, and with price, well it will be pretty large because of halving in July

I am not sure more gambling sites will attract more people. But i do see the stock markets are crashing which means investors are looking towards other instruments. Bitcoin being the main one since the steady increase provides security.

Bitcoin being the main one since the steady increase provides security. Bitcoin is the perfect alternative investment for traditional and institutional investors. But the real problem isn't the volatility or the price at all. The current exchanges are the real problem here. High level traders are looking for professional trading platforms and not an amateurish exchange site where you never know what will happen with your funds and coins. We strongly need new high level exchanges that can handle hundreds of millions of incoming money in order to attract these investors.

In 2016, the price should be $497 but in the year 2026, well have about $810 in the blockchain ready for pickup at our convenience.

It's hard to tell. We're only 4 months into the new year. Let's see what happens instead of making predictions that may or may not come true. I just recently tried to make a small prediction, but I feel as though these specific things should come as a surprise.

True. We might as well take our time to figure out what kind of options we might have it what type of future is in store. Still though, it wouldn't hurt to attempt figuring out what kind of future BTC will have.

No doubt, but it's still a waste of time because whatever happens is whatever is gonna happen so why try figuring it out now? Figuring it out now is just trying to give that prepared vibe. I feel like these kind of things is something that should come as a surprise.

But when it does, what if there's no possible and logical route to being prepared for it? I can pretty much guarantee that there's nothing we would be able to do to make BTC prices fluxuate in a certain way. Money is money and it won't really matter to me how much holding would rank in. I use BTC as a flat currency. Not a way to get rich from doing nothing.

When you put money in your bank, you want it to gain interest, right?

All I'm saying is that it's going to be very DIFFICULT to predict the future, so I'm advising everyone to stop trying.
