Also, it's a newbie, which is odd, why should a newbie mix 30BTC?
No offense, but that is irrelevant. I once knew a newbie user, and he signed a message to a bitcoin address containing 40,000.00 BTC.

He was a newbie to this forum, but he wasn't a newbie to bitcoin or to money. (Was probably a bored billionaire or some other rich person.)

Also, it's possible that person registered a newbie account, to not have "I did a big oops" and "I mix big sums" attached to his main account.

I dont know if i still catch up with this train but anything donations should not be expected to be refunded because it might have been used for some important project immediately.
Accept my sympathy.

But they are keep saying "Sadly there is nothing that we can do." and "All funds sent to this address are considered donations.”

This sound like a creepy joke!
Hello. Gave up after reading the thread, but gladly this has been resolved.
The Bitmixer support team sent me a mail which is "Sorry again for the issue, all admins were on vacations. I've transferred 30 + 5 btc as a compensation. Thank you.".
They gave me a happy new year present Smiley

Thank you.

not sure what to think about it. a bonus of 5 BTC for compensation? a story told from a newbie?
I think it's legit though, Traderbit found a TX ID that should belong to the 35 BTC OP said

But you was incredible lucky Cheesy at the end !!!!
Congrats to bitmixer for their honesty and big hearth !
