I agree. Due to the network effect (advantage of being first coin in the block) Bitcoin is independent from the other altcoins, and other coins depend on the price of Bitcoin.

Some people want to buy altcoin, but there is no altcoin/US dollar market, so they have to buy bitcoin first.

For ETH/USD and LTC/USD there's Bitfinex, Kraken and Poloniex. Poloniex does other USD currency pairs as well.

It is hard to know when Bitcoin will rise and that is almost indeed unable to predict because it is a currency, you never know what can happen what will happen next.
The most people are even thinking that the value is not even rising now and that it will take a long time to have that such a high value.

Bitcoin will reach that value in the end of the year I think because that can be later in the future higher but you only never if it will happen for sure and that is quite bad.
But around this time the value will keeps stable so have a little bit patience more and just wait for a price increase that will come soon.

Some coins like eth also increase in their price. Well, bitcoin will reach $500 maybe at the end of the month of may or at the beginning of the month of june. Just a wild guess.

I hope so, we are almost at $500 and I predict that it is going to happen this month. But we are going to wait a while for the price to be $1000. If the halving happens then we will have to wait even longer.

You see indeed that the price is rising slowly and that is nice because there will be now a time soon that we can sell it with some nice profit and that would be nice for all of us with Bitcoin.
We have waited a long time and the most are hoping that the value will be more worth and that would be nice but we have to wait and see for what will happen.

It's very far from expected price of 500$. i think it will reach $500 abt end of this month and $800 in next month at block halving. We have to lower our expectation of $1000 at halving.

i disagree, the real value of bitcoin is much more than 500-1000 and all these low prices. so there is a rise coming and nothing can stop it and all those whales can only keep the price for so long. that is why $1000 is not a high expectation.
