Okay, just placed an order (9:29pm PST) of some things that were in stock. I chose standard shipping. Let's see what all the hubub is about.

Quote from: USPS
Accepted at USPS Origin Sort Facility
August 9, 2013, 10:45 pm

For the record, my order of in stock silver rounds was accepted by the post office 9 business hours (or 1 business day) after I ordered. That's fast enough for my taste.

just got my maple leafs today. you guys are my favorite metals dealer so far (fast shipping, tracking number, pay with BTC Smiley

i do have a question though. i understand buying a monster box (value over $10,000) requires an 8300 form to be filled because its legal tender. does this also apply to the generic rounds when the purchase is above $10,000 when paying with BTC?

At this time Form 8300 only applies if you purchase $10,000 worth of gold and silver in cash/money order or if you purchase legal tender coins with BTC. If you are purchasing bars/rounds, then we do not need you to fill out form 8300. Of course government regulations could change at any time in the future. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

But a monster box is only $500  Grin

they're $11,327.00 at time of writing

http://www.amagimetals.com/silver-maple-monster-box.html

A monster box is a box of 500 $1 legal coins from the mint. It is worth $500 to the govt the rest is collectors value and whatever.

the way i understand it, the face value doesn't matter. if the total payment for your order is over $10,000 then the IRS form is filled out, even if the face value is less than $10,000. referring to the quote below, i assume "$10,000 worth of gold" is based on spot price and not face value (eg: 500 maple leaves = reporting, 500 rounds = no reporting). if i'm wrong please correct me.

At this time Form 8300 only applies if you purchase $10,000 worth of gold and silver in cash/money order or if you purchase legal tender coins with BTC.

Who cares about a few foolish customers rightfully demanding their in-stock items to be shipped without delay.  Roll Eyes

Uhh, you should read the fine print before placing an order. If you disagree with the fine print, don't place an order.

Rightfully demanding? LOL.

Orders are usually shipped within 3-5 business days of cleared payment. Products that are back ordered or have longer shipping times will have their shipping times stated on the product pages. You will be notified immediately when your order has been shipped.

That said, if I ran a business which started accepting Bitcoin, I would be doing everything in my power to please Bitcoin customers (those who pay with real money). Guaranteed same (or next day in the case of late orders) shipping for any customers paying with real money! Smiley

Maybe you didn't read the dates I posted.  My order wasn't shipped for 20 days after I ordered.  That is hardly the fine print of 3-5 days.  Then it was shipped ups ground took another week.  UPS ground wasn't even a shipping option!  I paid for priority shipping.  My order wasn't small it was well over 7K$
Hell I even ordered silver from bitcoincommodities and it shipped from Germany and got here in 1 week.  Theres just no excuse.

Let's hope 2017 is better than 2016.

Given that someone had an order accepted at the Post Office on Friday, probably not out of business.  Swamped by their own success, perhaps.

I think there is some metal convention going on, This isnt a definite just a guess since agora is also away til the 14th this could be coincidence but im also waiting for replies from amagi,

also received an order after 1 month of waiting hoping that this doesnt happen in the future but amagi has always fulfilled their end of the bargain even though a good number of my orders took a while,

Hey Amagi, any plans to get more SBSS Cannabis?

I believe that the Cannabis coins you are referring to weren't actually part of the official Chris Duane SBSS collection and were minted by his partner who turned out to be a scammer running a virtual bank.  Same situation with the originally released "come and take them" coins.  As you can see from the "come and take them" re-release of the official coin, you can expect the official SBSS Cannabis coins to go on sale in about 2 weeks (my guess).

This guy is blatantly lieing... I purchased 5oz of in stock silver over 5 days ago and still has not shipped.. This is bullshit.. Just return my coins please.. I don't want your silver.

And I surely won't be doing business with you further.. I bought from you because you said it ships in 24hrs... 5 days later, no silver, no shipment notification.. Nothing not even a notice.

Thanks for posting this. This is great info, not to mention a intriguing back story! This adds some context to a cryptic reference Chris Duane makes to, "the final design, which was not stolen."

Also, on the shipping time front:
The Warbirds I had on backorder have now shipped 9 business days after I ordered. Nice work, AMI!

The Cannabis round MIGHT be re-released. But, just like the AG-47 ("Come and Take Them), if it is re-released it will have a different back than the original  release. I ordered some Freedom Girl rounds the other day and (I think-they're not available for sale anymore on the site I bought them) those also had the different back.
Its a subtle difference, but the AG-47 "re-releases", along with the Freedom Girls that were still available for sale a few days ago (I think) are distinct from the original releases. The backs of the new ones (re-releases) have the trivium design around the center of the logo. The backs of the old ones do not.
In this way, its obviously very easy to tell an original from a re-release. If the Cannabis rounds are re-released, I guarantee they'll have this new back, too. I'm sure this will have an affect on value of the rounds. For example, a Cannabis round with the old back will obviously be more sought after than a new one with the new back if it is re-released. But, as mentioned, this difference is subtle. Maybe it will go unnoticed by some ; )

You can find more about SBSS stuff here: http://dont-tread-on.me/?p=30606 and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivK54nEhgjI. We are one of the four US official dealers of these rounds. The other official dealers are Gainesville, SilverGoldBull, and SDBullion. Of course we are the only ones that accept bitcoins.

Pre-Orders for the rereleased AG-47 rounds began last Friday. Pre-orders for the re-released cannabis rounds will be out THIS FRIDAY (8/16). The re-released versions are officially approved by Chris Duane. In addition they are produced by another mint that has been in the industry for 30+ years.

As Johnniewwalker states the reverses are slightly different. They have Chris Duane's initials on them and the trivium design. The Freedom Girl rounds that Johniewalker purchased are NOT re-releases. They are from the original designs. They were just inventory we had ordered from the mint and had not allocated yet. There's going to be a very amazing SBSS silver round released after the Cannabis round, so check back for that Smiley.

lol.  But that's so much harder than just whining on a forum!  Roll Eyes And lying to a postal inspector is, like, serious...

One question I have about the website: How can I view my order list on a mobile device?  If I log in from a phone, I haven't been able to figure out how to find my list of orders and check the status on them.  Even if I request the desktop site from Chrome on Android, it still feeds me the mobile site.

Their policy center at http://www.amagimetals.com/policy/shipping says to allow 3-5 business days after cleared payment, allowing another 7 for shipping.

Found it!

Our bitcoin sales range between $500k-$1 million per month and that does not include our traditional sales which we usually do much more of than bitcoin sales. We actually do ship silver (that is not pre-ordered) within 24 business hours. Gold is now shipping 1-7 business days. We have hired several additional staff to speed up shipments. Now that the markets are no longer in relative turmoil shipments are getting sent pretty quickly. In addition, no precious metals eCommerce dealer ships same day. Call Provident Metals/APMEX/Gainesville. See how their business model works. Ours is pretty much the same, however we normally ship faster than them now...

Why are people waiting on their in-stock silver then?
