Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Bitcoin Blockchain Data: 14 November 2016. Block number: 438785 Size: ~ 60 GB [60,785 MB] Uncompressed size: ~ 100 GB Format: compressed 7zip containing a bootstrap.dat. Move the decompressed bootstrap.dat into your Bitcoin-Qt application folder and (re)start your Bitcoin-Qt client. If you don't know how it works you can check the details on the download page. Indexed with bitcoin core v0.13.1 on Mac OSX platform. Beware that after decompressing the 7zip file, you need additional 100 GB to import the bootstrap file! Download link: https://flo.sh/bitcoin-qt-bootstrap-dat/MD5(bootstrap.dat)= 7ce2a9e61abbf2b169fc5d606fde44b6 MD5(bootstrap.dat.20161114.7z)= 1167e3f933612afc531e071d38c93665 SHA256(bootstrap.dat)= b7ba2d026a7a27d67a26737f5333ea7b399a6e495a60c16099eb3d58824a1069 SHA256(bootstrap.dat.20161114.7z)= b1f1b474b55aae59a7644d3975a00cdbb6cbc7475e26e2fb23c13c29638b8e62 UPDATE: The download page now requires a donation of whatever amount to (https) download the latest copy of the Bitcoin Blockchain. Is there a need for this file to be updated on a regular basis? i.e. once a week or once a month?Hint for users short of disk space: Depending on your usage scenario you may be better running a bitcoin-qt node in pruning mode. For example that's perfect for miners helping to reduce the node hosting costs. Miners running a P2Pool node can send me a hint and I'm happy to provide the patch needed to support bitcoin-qt pruning mode.

Be wary of third party bootstraps
That's why I'm providing checksums on the file(s), the source bitcoin-qt client version and OS used to create the bootstrap file. It would be perfect if another user can cross check the values bootstrapping the same blocks (or a future block) to verify the results.

So this is just another paid service now, right?
Offering this large file for direct secure https download is not possible without donations for me due to the hosting costs. To prevent abuse, you must donate a sum, which you can define yourself, to be able to download. The client itself is synchronizing quite fast for free without the need for a bootstrap file. Therefore using a best compressed bootstrap.dat file to speed up the initialization of Bitcoin-Qt in some scenario is a niche product primary for business purposes. I think it's a matter of decency to donate if this service helps you to save time or to optimize your business.

I simply think this should now be moved to marketplace with all the other paid services.

You can try to find a third-party--yet reputable--wallet. The best I know of is https://electrum.org/#download, although I don't remember if that would solve your issue or not. I believe the wallet's blockchain syncing is different. Best look into it beforehand.

You can enable pruning with Bitcoin Core. This keeps the size of the blockchain at whatever you set in your configuration. Create a Bitcoin.conf and put prune=550 if you want to keep it at 550mb. The full blockchain will still be downloaded but it will be deleted as it synchronizes. You can try to find a third-party--yet reputable--wallet. The best I know of is https://electrum.org/#download, although I don't remember if that would solve your issue or not. I believe the wallet's blockchain syncing is different. Best look into it beforehand. To be fair, there isn't an official wallet. Yes, it doesn't download the full blocks and it will be significantly smaller.
