By this analogy oxygen is very bad for health so we must do something about that. Oxygen makes free radicals so this is bad, but on the other side we must breathe. Coffee is antioxidant and balance is here.

Yeah, anything can be addictive, if not physically then mentally. I have been drinking coffee for longer than I can remember but I feel like I am not addicted to it. During normal working day at the office I can drink 3-5 cups during the 8 hours. On my off days though, I drink hardly at all. Maybe one cup in the morning if I have slow morning and good breakfast without much planned. Most of the time I don't drink any cups during the off days.

Soft drinks are also addictive. I used to drink several cans of Dr. Pepper every day. When I decided to stop, I got bad headaches. It was probably the caffeine. I just drink one every once in a while now and I can feel the effect of the caffeine now when I drink it.

When you see this "WARNING" you must think i'm fu***ed. This is called sensationalism, and it is widely spread in marketing and news. Coffee is addictive as every other bad or good habits. All is in head. We can say coffee have more good than bad sides if you don't drink over limits. Even flower pollen has a radioactivity. The values are negligible.

Both coffee and tea have some addictive ingriedients (caffeine and theanine). If you drink it too much your body just get used to this ingridients and lack of them could cause some problems like headache or similira. This is nothing new. Besieds caffeine is used in painkillers, so if you head is feeling better after drinking a coffee you know why.

Sure, coffee is a dangerously addictive, Mostly people know about this, but instead of this they also want coffee. Just like me, smoking is a dangerous addictive, and people know about this, but they smoked. so its useless to telling us.

Drinking coffee can also irritate the lining of the small intestine, potentially leading to abdominal spasms, cramps and elimination problems, often alternating between constipation and diarrhea. This condition is known as irritable bowel syndrome and more and more people are being diagnosed with it in recent years. I <3 coffee

I enjoy coffee but I am not addicted to it.
Everyone is different. Your body handles things differently compared to the next guy. If someone told me to stop drinking coffee for whatever reason I could no problem.
I actually find it to be more of a downer than a upper.

Me too! Many time i was quit drinking coffee, and i didn't notice extreme reactions as i had when i was quitting cigars. One thing is certain when i need to drive more than 2 hours coffee is needed to pull up my concentration, this way coffee helps us in real life problems. So i believe coffee have more good sides..

Caffeine Addiction Is a Mental Disorder, Doctors SayQuestion: What do heroin addicts who receive a daily dose of methadone have in common with people who feel they cannot function without that morning cup of caffeine? Answer: They are tending to their addiction—keeping the physical devils of drug withdrawal at bay. Source: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/01/0119_050119_ngm_caffeine.html
"Studies have demonstrated that people who take in a minimum of 100 mg of caffeine per day (about the amount in one cup of coffee) can acquire a physical dependence that would trigger withdrawal symptoms that include headaches, muscle pain and stiffness, lethargy, nausea, vomiting, depressed mood, and marked irritability.[3] Professor Roland Griffiths, a professor of neurology at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore strongly believes that caffeine withdrawal should be classified as a psychological disorder." Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caffeine_dependence Caffeine consumption may raise blood pressure. Especially in those already suffering from hypertension and those who don’t normally consume caffeine. People with hypertension were given 250 mg of caffeine (about 2 coffees) and the data revealed that their blood pressure was elevated for about 2-3 hours after the caffeine. A second study performed by The Mayo Clinic found similar results from a 160 mg dose. All participants experienced a marked rise in blood pressure and it was the most pronounced in those that didn’t normally consume caffeine

There is no disputing the fact that coffee "addiction" is not as intense or dangerous as drug addictions. You may feel "addicted" or dependent on it and it can be dangerous to overdo it. You can experiment and see how you feel with and without low to moderate amounts of caffeine. Some people do not feel anything when they consume caffeine and others don't feel anything when they stop consuming it.

I don't know. Truth be known, it probably doesn't do anything. They just want you to be really careful about what you put in your body. I would think that a little caffeine would not hurt the baby. Not a lot though. Maybe a glass of tea or a soda now and then. You know how the medical people are, one day they say this will kill us and then the next, it won't. THEY DON'T KNOW. I say just drink some'n now and then. Maybe wait until AFTER your first trimester. You don't want to take any chances with the first little bit of your baby's life
