Live and spend like no one else today,  so you can live and spend like no one else tomorrow.

Or just do what a good friend of mine did:  Marry a Coca-Cola heiress.

You and your wife need to burn the credit cards and put yourselves on a budget together. It can't be that hard Adam, unless you were only looking at her body when you married her...  Cheesy

I wouldn't go in to financial ruin because of the express actions of a significant other.

Drastic measures might be called for.

"Bitcoin has been an amazing ride, but the most fascinating part to me is the seemingly universal tendency of libertarians to immediately become authoritarians the very moment they are given any measure of power to silence the dissent of others."  - The Bible

Ultimately, you have to decide if you are married or just two people living in the same house.

Reality TV to the rescue!

Plus, you two arguing over cashing in bitcoins now vs keeping them as a future investment might be good publicity.

May I ask, seriously, why you married her?
I'm sure you tought that "till death do us part" was a long time.

What changed? Had she always spent so much and you start to feel this only now due to half the income? Or something changed? Maybe (and I would hope so) jokes made by hormones since that you just got a baby?

Btw, I would make sure that your bitcoin are safe. Brainwallet would be worth this time maybe?

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

If you are emotional at the moment because of some recent event or argument. Then you should take some time to reflect on it when you are in a more neutral state before making any decisions.

Seriously, fucking burn the credit card(s) and offer up to sell the BTC so you also have to do a sacrifice.

You said yourself that this isn't a permanent situation, it's over in a year. Man the fuck up, christ.

its not just the spending.... its a I deserve to be happy and so does she type thing.
but like yogi says, i need to chill out, and think about it on a clear head.
but ya, we have issues that go deeper then money, the money being tight just makes it unlivable.
