In an extreme case of survival, I will eat human meat if someone else can do the butchering and I don't have to look at any gory procedure of the meat being prepared. I'll just chew and imagine it's jerky or something similar.

Yep, I have to agree. While it may seem like that person was only able to do it due to desperation. The fact that he is really committed to staying alive even if that means doing something you absolutely do not want to do - is actually commendable.

At least you guys see the sense of it all. It's not at all immoral to eat a cadaver if you're gunning for survival. I think a lot of people here are thinking about morality and how it is unacceptable to eat human flesh as if it would be a preference for people who are trying to survive. Cannibalism mostly is the term that comes to mind for a lot of people when they hear eating human flesh but for me there's a clear line when you're in a survival situation eating a dead body

While there is a fine line between "eating human" for the sake of survival, or those gruesome and obsessed and twisted mental disorders. There really is a big difference between the two. I guess one reference question would be is if "they deliberately did it, or if they did enjoy it" versus "they simply had no choice".

Even then, a lot of people (especially the religious ones) will have problems with it. For them, eating flesh from a dead body is equivalent to desecrating it. They say that it is the worst insult which can occur to a dead body.

Ew! I think I wouldn't eat a human being in any case. Even if I am dying, or my kids are dying. We shall better die than live knowing such ugly truth. How can a person live a normal life after doing something like that? Especially, if we need to take someone's life. It is just not fair. As for somebody being already dead and some people alive dying.. Well... I think I just wouldn't manage to do that anyway.

Yes in all religions Dead bodies have some respect and they not allow to do any desecrating but currently in few countries they are eating these things for secret powers and some other matters with religion related

Yes, a movie 'Alive in the Andes' narrates the true events atop Andes when an airplane crashed up there in the middle of winter. The survivors ate strips of raw frozen human meat of those that died on impact. It was very tough decision the survivors had to make and felt very uneasy about the whole procedure but had to do it to stay alive.

Murderers must be locked up for the remainder of their lives, regardless of whether they eat the meat of their victims or not. Another option is the death sentence. It saves a lot of tax money. That said, I am not in favor of punishing someone who eats meat from a corpse, in order to survive.

Well if there still available resources to survive and be alive I will never eat a Human being but if the time has come out of desperation and the will to survive maybe I'm gonna have the courage to eat but not a person who is currently alive only those people that recently died.

Equally bad thing to do. Eating him or kill him, two things that are equally bad thing, no difference. If you can not eat him and choose to kill him,  that means have to eliminate a human life, just as bad. Or maybe there is a bit different, if you are kill him, that means you are evil, but if you eat him, that means you are crazy. And another different is in the "disgust and not disgust".
