This thread title question fits to those who do panic selling and creating some unrealistic basis after the dip today as one of the bitcoin core developers get out in bitcoin world.

Sadly they are optimistic when price sits at around $400 for consecutive weeks then become an hoax believers after this sudden dip.

There was only one "No" (I assume it was OP?), or something around 3% yesterday and now look at this: the apocalypse happened! Mike Hearn is leaving us! Fire in the hole! Everyone fall back!

Yes, now more than ever. The good news keep stacking up, meanwhile the enemies of Bitcoin are getting really nervous and are trying to destabilize it with baseless claims and overall cheap FUD, just like Mike Hearn just did, which in combination with the Cryptsy thing is getting a good chunk of the price, but it will recover in am matter of days, so FUDsters are wasting their time.

I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

maybe you should read more about bitcoin, network effects and technology to get a better picture.

in this time bitcoin is like internet in 80's
we can't explain detail about bitcoin
but we can introducing how bitcoin work

iam sure after more people know "how bitcoin work" we will believe this is money of future
The internet was not money and not decentralized. There is no control involved in internet and neither any resources. It's just a network and in no way affect the money and other political problems which bitcoin can.Not compulsory.

in first time...
after internet launching more people "confused" how internet work
and....
after more people know how internet work, some biggest company adopt it and build infrastructure of internet

Iam sure

in future more infrastructure will avaible in every village
As far as believe is concerned, really Bitcoins life is really very good and its doing very well. Bitcoins future is bright and it will show more benefits in the future. At present people who is using Bitcoins will sure get the benefits

I second you. There is no worry which will make not to believe in bitcoin ecosystem.
I always research on the past history of any investmeunt, this way we can see an amazing past history for the last four to five years of bitcoin, which will make any investors to get attracted to invest in to Bitcoin. This type of new money flow will make bitcoin into unimaginable higher prices. So, we can always believe with bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency is the future. But I doubt if btc will last. Eventually, the Apple of cryptocurrency might come out of nowhere and cause widespread adoption

I said that my interest had waned ( and gave no indication if that was still the case ).
I did not state that i did not believe in Bitcoin, and most importantly the Dev Team.

My negative trust rating is reflective of a personal vendetta by someone on default trust.

Nope. I lost all faith and have been selling my btc for the last few days.
It was a nice experiment and I feel honored to have been here since early 2012 to witness it all unfold.
Am I sad it failed, yea. It's shitty. I thought like everyone else that bitcoin would take over the world and make me richer then beyond belief, but sadly that reality will never come to fruition.
Chinese miners have cornered the market, bitcoin cant scale to where it needs to be to be a world player, centralized foundation, the list goes on.
Anyway. it's a sad day but one I prepared for since learning about bitcoin and reading for the 1st time that "bitcoin is an experiment and can fail"

It's difficult to answer this question now.
Before year or two I will say 100 % yes but now I have some doubts about it.
It seems sometimes that bitcoin just stay in place, no moving at all, no real progress, I don't know...
I really like idea behind bitcoin, financial freedom, get rid from the bank monopoly etc. but not sure if Bitcoin is final answer.

Yes I do, more than ever. This is only the beginning of the year that this drop happened

I would much rather have it go down right now rather than later when halving comes to a close.

Why wouldn't I? I wouldn't sell everything I own just because bitcoin is dropping. Who knows what will happen next week, or the week after that.

Even with all the negative news that came out today, bitcoin will still continue to grow.

Precisely. Who knows tomorrow or day after tomorrow and so on, there will be a good news for Bitcoin? It's not surprising if Bitcoin price is dropping because it happens all the time.

Life sucks.

So it wasn't you. But there was one guy. And now they're 9 Cheesy
This blog post buy Mike Hearn is worse then the plague.

Anyway, there's no criticism here as to the reasons why that first guy said they didn't believe in bitcoin. They might have had very good reasons, which I think is not the case of the remaining 8 people who joined their ranks  Grin
