I strongly believe in the concept. I just wish there weren't any humans involved in it. All this 'bitcoin is governed by math' crap gets on my wick. If that was the case there wouldn't be any strife at all.

I think Bitcoin still has a very bright future ahead.
Maybe not so much as a currency for day to day use,
but certainly as a good investment.  Grin

I don't think people on this forum would still be here if they didn't believe in bitcoin.
That would just not be logical.

Yes I am hoping for best as well. I'm not too worried about it and neither should others if you're using bitcoin as a secondary currency.

Offcourse I still believe in bitcoin. Is there a reason to doubt the future of bitcoin?
Let's face it. There are problems, but every one of them can be overcome.

I doubt we will have bitcoin in 20 years. Something similar in nature, yes, bitcoin not really. Bitcoin is too easy to manipulate and I mean not the price - but whole viewpoint of people on Bitcoin.
We have one stupid information about 'terrorists' using bitcoin and whole society is freaked out (it doesn't matter that terrorists are using dollars or euro, ridiculous amount of it, actually, everyday).

I sort of agree and understand what you are saying and it's actually one of the reasons I'm becoming more disappointed with Bitcoin. It just can't shake off that bad image,  it's tainted and people just laugh about it. There's also a lot of great projects that are taking the spotlight from Bitcoin. I think the price will eventually rise but I don't think it will be too relevant in 5 years, just a gateway for exchanging crypto coins, gambling and things like that. It just didn't manage to actually create demand other than for speculation.

Many people believing in bitcoin, because they are already too deep with investments.
And we can hear Bitcoin to the moon, 100k / bitcoin and other very excessive expectations.
On the other side we have those who wants to jump to the wagon..And with funding they want to crash price.

What is here difference?

Most people don't understand the problems with the block size.
Which eventually can kill bitcoin. I believe in bitcoin's innovation but there is offcourse the way it's executed.

If we will see a democratic process in voting that's good. But if the developers need months to executed it, bitcoin is doomed for failure.
