Hey,
Since a couple of minutes, BTC seems to go back to $400.
How far will it go ?

Ofcourse it will! You guys has been panicking in the last price drop. There are events that affected it and as I have undertand those corectly, these are short terms effect and thus after a short period of time, the price will be stable again at around $400+

This was expected as it all seem to me that few of the so called whale club manipulated the market price so now it getting back into were it belongs in the first place and that's $400 and up. It's up to $383 at the time of typing this and I think it could go up to $420 until it stables again for some times.

OP what exchange are you looking at, because I check preev and we're still at $385. Yeah it's close to $400 but it's not $400. However, I do agree with you that we'll get back there soon. Unfortunately I have nothing to base this opinion on and I'm just hoping.  |

Yeah, although Bitcoin hasn't reached $400 just yet I know it will and quickly.
Again short term panics/shocks due to Mike Hearn and Cryptsy. This happens all the time with Bitcoin and different commodities. I am still thinking Bitcoin is going to have an increase in value this year that will be impressive, so long as these minor roadblocks stop popping up.

Bitcoin gradually increasing in value. As the topic, now its on the track towards $400. As you said the the shock will be there still the value move in a constant manner without much of down fluctuations. |

My educated guess is that $400 will not be breached. We might touch it briefly, but I am not 100% sure.
However, I opened a new short position at $390. I like my odds from there because the trend is down (my opinion).

Hell yes It's going to go back and even rise ... People just panicked because of the Cryptsy hack probably and what Mike hearn said (I'm not sure why his words are taken seriously) , same scenario happened when people panicked and sold because they thought Bitcoin XT is the end for Bitcoin .

Thats right but Someone who had plan to buy bitcoins might have benefited in the previous days as they might have got bitcoins for less price. |

We haven't rebounded yet. We are still very much lower than where we were 3 days back. So unless you sold your coins right at the bottom, selling wasn't that bad a strategy. |

Bitfinex reached a top of just over $393 which I find to be a decent recovery. I don't expect the $400 price level to be an easy target as we need to get rid of a bunch sellers first that bought between $350-$370. Even if we do go over $400, then we will probably need a lot support to maintain that level, otherwise we'll go back to $380-$390's.

How can anyone say about that or be specific about anything,it's the market and mostly people trading noticing others.However it would have been a good chance to make some coins in this dump cause 400 looks the stable one to me. |

well true... but not for btc user... who accept a payment in last 7 days loss 15 % ! it's a really huge amount, if you add exchange fees, and others fees, you loss a good 20% 1/5 of your payment. this can be good for traders (but not for all traders obviously  )... but not for who want use it. |

I have followed (not continuously but very often) the price since the beginning of the going down and the decrease was almost or all linear (until yesterday and today when the movement was up and down within the amount of 10 us dollar). Was not any time up at this level. At least I haven't seen nothing such. If this "seems to go back to 400 us dollar" express a desire of the main poster and not a fact this is another question. Or maybe a call for bitcoin in order that it hear and react.  Anyhow is a desire of everyone of us here. I think will be fulfilled much more faster than the other such cases which has have been to do with bitcoin. This drop is nothing compared to some previous ones. So even the get over will be fastest. Needed a little patience and optimism in order that the less experienced and the new bitcoiners don't go at panic and dump their coins doing in this way the role of "devil". |

Yes, the perfect scenario must be BTC is going back to $500 and in long term BTC is going back to $1200.
Yes, usually committees goes down to get more strength to break any big resistance. $500 must be a big level of resistance. So, went back to $360 was inevitable to go $500 levels.

i didnt panic only sell my share of coin at 410 and buy them at 384 and make some additional income in this but i didnt know that price will again go down if i waited for lower price to buy i could make more |

Im glad that it is now moving up again,,, Im happy coz I haven't sell everything though, I was in panic that time. lets just hope that it slowly recover back to 400... Panic selling is never good. I remember i sold a lot of coins when i just entered the bitcoin scene. Right now I am not a pro, but i do know this kind of flucations are normal with bitcoin. |

Yes, only the fear is the reason for recent breaking of $400 levels. But now bitcoin is trading around $485 levels. May be tomorrow itself we can see testing of $400 levels again. |

It is funny as I was buying when the crash happening and it went down to around 360$, but I forgot a 410$ order I have placed. There was a temporary high while I was sleeping and the order filled it was great. Bought again at a lower price. |

If there aren't any panic sellers left, then it will take a week at most to return to $400 and higher. I can see that there is still some panic between the traders. Right now anything can happen, that makes people more alert and defensive. |

it is not a trend, in first place. If you talk about the trends, then presumably there is a longer time horizon than the few days that this last correction lasts. The trend is a big word, and it takes a bit more effort rather than the mere drop (less than 20%) that we just witnessed. |

I feel bitcoin could go down more, but luckily there was sufficient buy support.
In a matter of hours we lost so much, that it got me confused what was happening.
But seeing today's price, i am confident we will climb up again.

For now, there no real arguments for moving either up or down. Halving is still too far away to make it a real deal, support zone all the way down to $350 looks pretty solid and has been tested (positively) three times already. That is why we should see more of a horizontal action ahead. That is good to calm down some of the hot heads who heard about halving somewhere and were already counting the gains. |

I really can't see the price go to below $300 unless there is some bad news that will trigger people to panic sell. I guess we'll see the price hang around sub $400 for a week or two before it goes up again. |

why we need huge increases? I think a stable price, above "a point" would be the best option for all users, early and new adopters. Clear in mind, there is no need of a "fake" price that crash and pump every week. It's a good way for earn money (if you know how to trade), but in the same time is the perfect manner to "destroy" btc and avoid people to use as a "currency". |

Price seems to be stable over 400 dollar for quite some time now. So yes if a bad case scenario will keep the price above 400. We will go back quite a lot though. It's been stable for about a week at $450 now, so unless something else happens to catapult the price one way or another there should be no issue maintaining a low $450 average. |

Since a couple of minutes, BTC seems to go back to $400.
How far will it go ?
no price now is 550$ and i don't think that price will drop, because it rises at this moment and it should rise this whole week and maybe month, so if it rises it can't fall and if bitcoin price would fall to 400$ in week for example it would be very bad as price fall before halving would mean smaller price after halving too so miners maybe would leave their jobs |

well true... but not for btc user... who accept a payment in last 7 days loss 15 % ! it's a really huge amount, if you add exchange fees, and others fees, you loss a good 20% 1/5 of your payment. this can be good for traders (but not for all traders obviously )... but not for who want use it. i dont think bitcoins are going back to 400 they are now almost 600 than he need to drop like 200 in just one step i dont think that would happen that is to fast he only rises or drop a little bit every time. |

I agree with you. The $800 price is sustainable for this year. The $1000 price depends on the block size increase. Price doesnt matter on technicals of it, although it just re-enforces the price if it were to hit or be close to it. The only thing you should look at is how to speculate a # of buy orders that triggers people to buy more after this halving hits. |

actually price is not anywhere close to 400$, so i don't think that it will go back to 400$ anytime soon as price at this moment is 640$ and still going up, not falling down and i think that it will rise to 1000$ or so after halving, then it will be highest point of this price rise actually, i don't think that it will be possible for bitcoin price to rise even more |
