Bitcoin classic is still a hard fork, right?
Why should the price go up because of this?

Ofcourse it will! You guys has been panicking in the last price drop. There are events that affected it and as I have undertand those corectly, these are short terms effect and thus after a short period of time, the price will be stable again at around $400+

This was expected as it all seem to me that few of the so called whale club manipulated the market price so now it getting back into were it belongs in the first place and that's $400 and up. It's up to $383 at the time of typing this and I think it could go up to $420 until it stables again for some times.

OP what exchange are you looking at, because I check preev and we're still at $385.  Yeah it's close to $400 but it's not $400.

However, I do agree with you that we'll get back there soon.  Unfortunately I have nothing to base this opinion on and I'm just hoping.

Bitcoin gradually increasing in value. As the topic, now its on the track towards $400. As you said the the shock will be there still the value move in a constant manner without much of down fluctuations.

My educated guess is that $400 will not be breached. We might touch it briefly, but I am not 100% sure.
However, I opened a new short position at $390. I like my odds from there because the trend is down (my opinion).

Hell yes It's going to go back and even rise ... People just panicked because of the Cryptsy hack probably and what Mike hearn said (I'm not sure why his words are taken seriously) , same scenario happened when people panicked and sold because they thought Bitcoin XT is the end for Bitcoin .

Thats right but Someone who had plan to buy bitcoins might have benefited in the previous days as they might have got bitcoins for less price.

We haven't rebounded yet. We are still very much lower than where we were 3 days back.
So unless you sold your coins right at the bottom, selling wasn't that bad a strategy.

Bitfinex reached a top of just over $393 which I find to be a decent recovery. I don't expect the $400 price level to be an easy target as we need to get rid of a bunch sellers first that bought between $350-$370. Even if we do go over $400, then we will probably need a lot support to maintain that level, otherwise we'll go back to $380-$390's.

How can anyone say about that or be specific about anything,it's the market and mostly people trading noticing others.However it would have been a good chance to make some coins in this dump cause 400 looks the stable one to me.

well true... but not for btc user...
who accept a payment in last 7 days loss 15 % !
it's a really huge amount, if you add exchange fees, and others fees, you loss a good 20% 1/5 of your payment.
this can be good for traders (but not for all traders obviously )... but not for who want use it.

I have followed (not continuously but very often) the price since the beginning of the going down and the decrease was almost or all linear (until yesterday and today when the movement was up and down within the amount of 10 us dollar). Was not any time up at this level. At least I haven't seen nothing such. If this "seems to go back to 400 us dollar" express a desire of the main poster and not a fact this is another question. Or maybe a call for bitcoin in order that it hear and react. Anyhow is a desire of everyone of us here. I think will be fulfilled much more faster than the other such cases which has have been to do with bitcoin. This drop is nothing compared to some previous ones. So even the get over will be fastest. Needed a little patience and optimism in order that the less experienced and the new bitcoiners don't go at panic and dump their coins doing in this way the role of "devil".

Yes, the perfect scenario must be BTC is going back to $500 and in long term BTC is going back to $1200.
Yes, usually committees goes down to get more strength to break any big resistance. $500 must be a big level of resistance. So, went back to $360 was inevitable to go $500 levels.
