Ok, so we're having dinner last night with a couple that we're headed on vacation to New York City with, and as usually happens after a couple of pitchers of Margaritas, I find a way to inject bitcoin into the conversation (sometimes I bring up game theory, but that's after scotch, not tequila)
Long story short, I've been challenged to find some place to eat or have coffee in NYC that accepts BTC. Ideally, I just whip out my android, scan the QR code, send the coin, shrug and act like it's no big deal, happens every day, no fuss.
Any place like that? Maybe even a newspaper or hotdog stand?
(the funny thing is, I bet in a few years, I'll look back at this post and chuckle, because now (the future) everybody takes BTC)

LOL. I can so relate to this. My wife to me in the car while driving to meet a couple for dinner whom we hadn't known long: "you're not going to start talking about Bitcoin, are you?" Me: "hey, if it comes up, it comes up." Suffice it to say, it came up. |

when you gunna be in NYC? i'll be there starting tomorrow morning till the 1st. will have a batch of casascius coins and a smallish blockchain.info wallet with me for in person cash deals assuming more high end here not your simple taxi ? heh In a few weeks, a big bar and nightclub will be accepting Bitcoin!
