To remember why Litecoin is the BEST and unmatched !!!!

1 -> China LOVES litecoin;
2 -> Litecoin is a China's Bitcoin
3 -> Never underestimate the Litecoin, just as China itself, the litecoin is a sleeping dragon;
4 -> If China wants to skyrocket LTC, they'll do LTC skyrocket, and BTC's too;
5 -> If Bitcoin skyrockets to 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 dollars, Litecoin will follow;
6 -> If bitcoin skyrockets, people will MASSIVE trade bitcoins for litecoins (BTC to LTC), because when the bitcoin rises in price, Litecoin rises several more times and the profit will be phenomenal.

Other altcoins, pre-mined, etc? monero, stellar, Ethereum (Auroracoin 2.0) -> easy way to make quick money and we've seen this story before.

i couldn't agree more with this.

people keep saying litecoin has nothing to offer and is the copy of bitcoin, i totally agree but it doesn't change any of these facts which are mentioned here and thus making LTC a good coin for a trader like me.

Buying the dip...

I've seen so many coins come and go.  Funny thing.  Ltc is still here and still respectable.

Just because a coin has a few months of glory doesn't mean it will last. I've seen more than a few attain a huge market cap only to become worthless over time.

A lot gambling sites still use litecoin as their main coin. That means litecoin still exist and acceptable till today and hopefuly will stay longer. Just noticed some new coins that comes and start getting more attentions cause the price increasing so fast but eventually that new coin price went down and never up again.

The main difference between litecoin and other altcoin is that, litecoin is almost exactly the same as bitcoin.

1.  Litecoin was never a good investment.  It was a pump.  It was my horrific introduction to crypto between ASIC scams with mods assuring a community of trustworthiness, a bunch of early bagholders pumping to $40 etc.

2.  Auracoin was a strict litecoin/bitcoin clone.  Except with branding for a specific country which is pretty much everything crypto is against ideologically (which is pretty much the only thing that gives crypto it's value in the first place).

3.  In the past Litecoin has had TWO things going for it.

   A.)  Backup to bitcoin.
   B.)  Non ASIC PoW (part of A - as ASICs are part of bitcoins weakness).

Come to think of it I guess three.  It was used for mixing on BTC (trade bitcoin for litecoin, withdraw litecoin and sell on another exchange).

Litecoin has lost both of those.  There is Monero which has a different code base completely so it won't be exposed to other bitcoin weaknesses litecoin will be exposed to.  Also Ethereum, Monero and a host of other coins are ASIC resistant.  So there are better "backups" for bitcoin (or "silver to bitcoin's gold if you will).

I'm not going to go into Ethereum.  I understand people thinking it's 100% presale was ideologically flawed.  Or that PoS is flawed.  But if it isn't flawed then Ethereum has a future.  Litecoin can't even get it up enough to have forums anymore.  No one cares anymore.  Literally no one.

So yeah.  Fail.  Everything litecoin has there is something better.  It has nowhere to go but down.

Obviously a great investment and well established coin because:

  • Capable of four times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period. Frankly if payment processors had adopted Litecoin in the past year current Bitcoin block discussions would be irrelevant (and likely the price of both coins higher). Anyone who has watched these discussions understands the immediate advantage of a network with larger transactional capability.
  • Faster confirmation times. The only people who don't think this is important have never spent a single coin or they have patience that the average person does not possess.
  • The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks.
  • Anti-spam.
  • Fast well established network. Current Hashrate is 1,643 GH/s. Since scrypt is memory intensive it is known to be approximately 1000 times slower hardware wise in comparison to SHA256. Fair comparison to the Bitcoin network requires multiplying that hashrate by 1000 (1,643 TH/s). The fact is for most of Litecoins history the hashrate has been relatively high and secure. Those comparing it to the Bitcoin network without considering this 1k factor are either being disingenuous or just ignorant of the facts.
  • Continuous development look here at number of releases in past year: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/releases
  • Upcoming new features and active development look here for whats happening in 2016:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/3z2ta1/ama_official_litecoin_developers_and_litecoin/
  • Longevity. Many coins have temporarily eclipsed litecoin as they were marketed for the purpose of increasing the fiat accounts of a small group and emptying the accounts of new users. Unfortunately this has been detrimental to crypto-space in general.
  • Great community.
  • Fully supported by GoCoin a growing payment processor used by thousands of merchants https://www.gocoin.com/
  • Liquidity. You can sell thousands and not crash the market. Maintains value. Look at the chart here indicating volume in the last 24 hours relative to other coins. http://cryptocoincharts.info/coins/graphicalComparison In fact volume has remained high since last June while maintaining a stable price.

The litecoin forum did get hacked similar to how bitcointalk did at one time. I was actually referring to the many great individuals I've met involved with litecoin over the years, not to mention the individuals involved in the upcoming new release and upgraded forum. Any other questions regarding listed points?

Get noobs to read this thread and sell their litecoins.

Continue complaining about the lack of tech development.

Let crypto sort itself out.

The winners are not those that innovate the fastest, but those that innovate at the right time.

Litecoin has the best structure of all other alt-coins. China believes in it and it is well connected in the mining community.

Technology can be accomplished in a matter of months.

Community of litecoin and volume it has is something coins wish they had.  <--- Most Important Aspect.
