Ok, after more than a year away from alts I decided to get involved again in mid December 2015 and invest 2 BTC in Ethereum 1 BTC in Dash and 1 BTC in PPC. Without doing any research, I just sent the 4 BTC to my old Cryptsy deposit address as I never had any issues with them before. My order for Dash got matched almost instantly, while ETH and PPC seamed to be going up and up, so I did what I should have done at the beginning and started reading recent news about Cryptsy. The situation seamed pretty terrible, so I requested to withdraw my 3 BTC and 165 Dash to Poloniex... the rest you can guess, countless e-mails to support etc. etc.

I tried contacting Silver Law but they informed me the legal suit is only regarding US customers...

My question is, has anybody found a legit way for international customers to try and get back part of their money (law firms, debt collectors etc.)?

That sucks man, as far as I know we all have to wait for the settlement there in the US.

That would mean months at least, I suppose.

i think if only US customers find a voice in the court than it is crap.
I mean even in the mt gox scandal i was contacted by the japanese court by postcard if i want to participate.
Thats the way it should be.

We would like to hear an update about cryptsy on the court ,international members also has a stake here considering that they do have a lot of customers not only in the united states but on asia and europe too any decision made by a court will have an impact on international users, they should also have a say on this..

Thanks everyone for the views. It's nice to see a lot of positive comments.

I do feel Cryptsy picked the wrong time to stop the service, considering the resurgence of alt markets this weak. My best hope is somebody sees the potential and buys the company and reimburses all customers.

I guess I might be naive again, time will tell.
