you also have to setup eshop and accordingly shipping of stuff. i would suggest to keep POW period for a day or 3 and then go with full POS. but nice concept and watching this space to see further updates
good luck
Thanks for the suggestions. I will take them into consideration. I think the hardest thing with the estore would be getting a payment processor on board. I see many services out there but I'm not sure which one gets me the most bang for my dollar. Shipping will be sort of tricky, but I do have shipping providers with better rates than the avg public. Thanks for watching, and if you wish to chime in with any other suggestions please do so.
I will take a look at your suggestion. Thank You.
Really nice to see the interaction with the forum, i really dig the scrap metal part of this is pretty much a billion dollar industry also.
Yea I figure its best to get the feedback from the core community. Scrap metal is a bigger industry than most people realize, and pairing it with a crypto currency could have legs. Do you have any ideas to add to this discussion?
While you have a cool idea in mind, this thread sounds more of a brainstorming session than anything concrete. Using words like "Maybe" "Why not" "Help" - not to mention:
we receive many things on a daily basis that I believe people could potentially use in return for crypto currency.
Maybe a CPU or PSU for your miners, or how about some scrap metal or car parts for that car project in your driveway?
Is poorly written and causes the reader to backtrack to your sales pitch. I read this as: My family has a junkyard, and every day we get stuff that people might want to use but pay for in crypto (but it has to be my coin).
Very confusing!
Having said all this, please realize my post is constructive criticism; I'd be glad to help out in any aspect if you require an extra hand.
I truly opened this thread to brainstorm with the community. I have no problem with your constructive criticism, and I appreciate you getting involved with the conversation. Sounds like you might be someone that could help with a business plan? Do you think a bounty of BTR would be suitable as payment for a service like that? Thanks
I'm just having a bit of trouble linking the scrapyard business with the cryptocurrency, are you saying you would pay your customers with a cryptocurrency like this or am I totally off ?
I'm just linking the commodity to the currency at first glance. In due time if the currency picks up traction, I think offering our customers a informational packet about the crypto currency would be fruitful, but I wouldn't say paying my customers with the crypto currency is something I'm looking to do right now. Any other contributions would be awesome. Thanks.
Edit: It does look like the conversation is heading that direction though. lol
I like it, good luck!
Thanks. Hopefully you will be around if and when we launch the currency. Do you have any feedback for me on POW/POS? Seems like people are touching on this a lot.
Logo looks pretty cool, thanks for showing me a sample. I'm waiting on another sample or two from others and will contact you if I decide to use yours.
Hello dev, will this be only POW ? or will you add staking node or POS ?
Hello, not sure right now. I was looking to go POS+POW, but do a rather low count on the POW side of things. I don't wish for any early birds to get a ridiculous amount of BTR unfairly. I turn the question over to you, and ask what do you think about POS+POW with a low POW count?
Ok i understand that it's a coin for junkyard and scrapmetal, but why don't you try to make some physical coins maybe, and BitRecovery could be backed by some real coins
EDIT : i've just checked out the earlier posts and i see that there is already this idea developed
Ideas are still brewing here. I think that physical coins could be something we touch on later down the line if we gain some traction. I have a refiner that I deal with on a daily basis, so if its not coins, it could be big chunks of refined scrap in some sort of vault that backs it somehow. I love the idea of tying this all together, and hope to see more of your feedback as the discussion continues.
Consider setting a price in your coins per weight for each metal type.
Sounds interesting and can be developed further if there is possibility to change scrap for coins and vice versa.
What about mining and this token's specifications?
So trading in this coin is similar to commodity trading. Do we need coin for each metal type, say iron, copper and nickel?
Very good question. My first thought was to have some sort of tier system / weight pegging system in place.
Tier System / Weight Pegging ~ Set amounts of coins = Set amount of weight for each metal type.
Lets brainstorm on that more.
Now we have for almost everything this is a good concept and with a wide market, every country has a junkyard here in our place, every corner has a jundk yard but not every body can mine as those owners some of them do not have access to the internet or to busy to collect junk
Very good input here. So you are proposing the idea of paying scrappers in the crypto to collect junk? That's what another person was sort of touching on. I don't want to get to far ahead of myself here, but the input is very credible and could work if people really cared enough of the crypto. I really think that process needs to be more unseen than junk for crypto vice versa. There needs to be some sort of system in place that hides any and all confusion for the avg joe. Maybe convince intake customers that they can get more $$$ for their scrap if they take their payment in crypto? Than simply give them the directions to go to the website I create to cash in their crypto for BTC, and then I could buy them BTC from them for cash within 5 - 10 min if all goes well. The only reason I suggest funneling them through a website is to make a paper trail and some sort of log. This is something that could work, but I need more coffee to sketch out a business plan.
Thanks everyone for their input. Please continue to help me with feedback.
