How can i have some lisks? I only have an account on lisk.io

spam faucet

haha it's just a testnet faucet. good luck spamming a testnet faucet.  Tongue

I don't think he was talking about the ability to do it but rather you get no benefits from doing so.

why did he do it??!?!

i have seen Phoenix1969 has  39271.07783689 lisk , he is one of those faucet spammers ?

Who knows?  There were a lot of people that got large amounts of testnet Lisk from Oliver and Joel at the start.  You can't just look at somebody with a high number of Lisk and automatically say they spammed the faucet.  Testnet Lisk is free and has no value.  It is used for TESTS.  Nobody was really keeping track of it at the start and it's only important NOW because the testnet population is having to vote for delegates since about three days ago.

This is an interesting intellectual exercise but not a practical one.

so that we can test the network with votes.  No big deal on testnet with no value.

The only people who don't understand are people who are not activly testing the network like us.

Though I didn't spam the faucet, having all the testnet Lisk is not hurting anyone right now.

When the network turns into the REAL Lisk, then be mad at those greedy guys trying to get free money to dump.

We're just testing the network so you can be good for moon launch instead of bury head in the sand.

Phoenix is a good guy and has your best interest at heart but he only hangs out in the lisk chatroom.

Scam buster?? where is the proof?  I personally know Phoenix1969 and we have several friends who participated in the Lisk ICO who have no interest in forging but wanted to open a wallet so they could gain some experience and insight on the whole process. Once you have registered a new account on Lisk wallet you then proceed to faucet to get free test Lisk, after loading test Lisk, you are allowed to register and vote and send test Lisk. Which is exactly what they did.

@LiskHQ

I asked this question once before but didn't see a response (sorry if I missed it).  I'm wondering if the differences between Crypti and Ethereum described below are true of Lisk vs. Ethereum now.  I would think so, but I'm not 100% sure how the differences may have changed since Lisk came into existence (and considering that 6 months have passed since the linked article was written).  Thanks in advance.

http://bitscan.com/articles/crypti-dapps-without-the-dollars

from linked article:

Q: On the surface of it, Crypti looks a lot like Ethereum - what are the differences?

Crypti is a decentralised application platform, while Ethereum is a smart contract platform. Now, you may find yourself asking, what does this actually mean?

At Ethereum, there is absolutely no doubt, developers get access to a great decentralised backend system. However, I feel this is at the cost of not having an in-built frontend or hosting solution right from the beginning. This forces decentralised application developers to rely on existing third-party centralised solutions, which in our view is far from optimal.

With Crypti, the situation is completely different. Developers have access to a full-stack decentralised ecosystem, providing concrete solutions for the frontend, backend and storage layers of a truly decentralized application. Plus, as an added bonus, each dapp is distributed through our very own Dapp Store, where users can install and launch dapps from an easy-to-use interface.

Developing dapps for Crypti is very easy. Crypti dapps are written in JavaScript and are powered by the increasingly popular Node.js runtime - both of which could arguably be described as the most popular tools used to build applications for the web today. Coupled with our simple-to-understand software development kit (SDK), I feel Crypti is the best choice of platform for developing decentralised applications on the blockchain.

Ok, it's the "implied" part that sparked my reaction, I apologize. Phoenix1969 is a great guy and he has been relentless in his passion for BTC and Lisk and it's ecosystem, so, when I see something that might be construed as negative it ruffles my feathers. Understand that the amount of test Lisk in an account has no bearing on rank or position as a test Delegate. This is achieved by votes, and Phoenix1969 has approx. 1.7% of around 1100 registered voters ATM. This may help to better understand the process https://blog.lisk.io/explaining-lisk-forging-rewards-53d295066be2#.2k8cw9526

It feels like this whole bitcointalk community is getting too caught up with living up to other projects success levels, instead of focusing on the real opportunities at hand.

If you are more concerned with Lisk achieving Ethereums marketcap at some point than actually developing on the platform itself, this is directed at you....

These platforms are only that, metaphorical "clearings" to build our houses upon. Focus on your house, which will adds value to the clearing (Lisk).

This is the way you win in the digital age - Gtf-up and build something to add value.

Otherside of this, please god, no more ICO's for another "clearing"... deforestation and such... Whatever....

spam faucet

http://faucet.lisk.io
haha it's just a testnet faucet. good luck spamming a testnet faucet.  Tongue

yo should say to  1 Phoenix1969 1748025357855339697L 7164.87425828 LISK  95.83% 1.08%

This is an interesting intellectual exercise but not a practical one.

etcetera , etcetera and etcetera.

Which is exactly what they did.

i 'm not saying he is scammer he requested 32775 lisk to be first in the list

i don 't vote for him even in the realnet, would you trust a person request a lot of lisk to be 1st delegate list?!?!?1

This may help to better understand the process https://blog.lisk.io/explaining-lisk-forging-rewards-53d295066be2#.2k8cw9526

you don 't know how vote system workS, he has 1.21% approval rate = 1'213°823 lisk to vote him

he isn 't honest because he made 32000 lisk = faucet spammers to be 1st

I think people feel that if they get a delegate on testnet they will definitely get a delegate when it goes live, but they should know that it is probably only other delegate owners who are voting. I haven't gone on testnet but I will probably vote for delegates. I will vote based on what people plan to do - whether they are making a contribution beyond running a delegate - and then refine that later based on uptime. It won't make any difference to me whether people have been voted in on testnet.

Anyone investing in the Bitland ICO too?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1434155

I don't know yet. Seems that it's not taking off yet. Although I think that it's a nice project.
Maybe they need a better marketing plan.
I put it on my watch list for now. Smiley
