I was sold on Ethereum, but now having doubts. However, I tried the Lisk faucet to try out using a Bloombit Lisk address and the faucet doesn't recognise it. What's up?

Here's the address Bloombit gave me:

that lisk from teh faucet is testnet lisk.  The real lisk that was bought during the ICO is coming in 2 days.  

Even the lisk at bloombit is not real.

then once you get the address there go to the faucet or post here and someone will send you some free testnet lisk to try out just in case you're locked out of the faucet.

Yep, don't make the same mistake everyone makes in ICOs, sell too early. Then watch it rocket.

Even have a reputable escrow user from this site who has volunteered to be the escrow. No takers in my thread in the altcoin marketplace though..

That was the address that Bloombit gave me. I assume it is based on real Lisk as opposed to testnet Lisk.

why do there need to be fees for like passphrase setup. of course for transactions but others why. who gets those fees

From the networks point of view a transaction is a transaction. Doesn't matter if delegate registration, sending Lisk or setting up second passhprase.
Fees are needed to avoid spam.

If any transaction is free on the blockchain it can used to attack it, slow it down, bloat the blockchain by creating hundreds or thousands of transactions every minute.

If there is a few an attacker can still do it, but it would cost him. The ideal fee sturcture is one that is cheap enough for legitime use, but too costly to spam the chain.

It's to discourage locking up addresses. As Lisk is a brainwallet, if there were no fees for a second passphrase, anyone could create a botnet and lock addresses. By having a fee in place, this is negated.

Nah, that's a Bitcoin adress. Go check on blockchain.info.

Bloombit probably hasn't implemented the Lisk wallet yet. Fishy.

Interesting .002 is even lower than my offer. its kinda strange how this thread is expecting "nothing less than $2!" but on the other hand not taking good sell offers with good escrow for 0.002BTC.

Even in that scenario you would not loose one Satoshi because i dont hold any of your BTC. The escrow would just send you the BTC back and that's it. Nothing to loose on your side.
