Very shady to sell site, forum accounts, email, etc to a new entity without making it public.   Lying (by omission) doesn't exactly inspire confidence.  I won't be using bitmit in the future and I have been an early supporter.

Looks like the site was restored with my account and the way I left it. Note that earlier today it was a 2 day backup but now that seems to be fixed.

One would hope, but the new owner withheld the information of change of ownership just the same as the old owner withheld the fact that it had been sold.  I would almost say the new owner has more responsibility to report the change to the users of the site.
