I deposited 0.1BTC a couple of weeks ago and have been trading fine. Deposits/withdraws work. UI and execution speed are great, spread is ok. Liquidity is awesome. I love that I can trade on mobile.

However

- I am hesitant to deposit more funds. How do I know you're a legitimate business? How can I trust you won't run away with the funds.
- Are you planning on providing more leverage? (more than 10x)

Thank you for the feedback and glad you are enjoying the trading.

I understand your opinion about trust, definitely an issue in bitcoin space. Whaleclub has been serving customers since 2013 and no problem has occurred with customer funds. We are a small friendly software/finance team based in Hong Kong.

We will also be getting the word out more in the next weeks. Our directors will do interviews for transparency and we will try to partner with great businesses. Our goal will always be to serve customers excellently.

We will provide more leverage up to 100x as we scale our user base.

I've tried and can vouch for them. Most pro support I have seen. Trading, deposits, withdraws are going smoothly.

Do you have an affiliate program?

Also please: provide more leverage (50x). remove position size limit. provide API.

Thank you for your comment. We are working on an affiliate program offer for our users and expect to release it to the public in the next 4 weeks.

We are also working on offering more leverage (up to 100x) and increasing the position size limit. Our API is also coming soon.

Green SSL lock is appearing in Chrome and all browsers that I try. If you are talking about the green label with company name, we will get that, but that does not increase security, it's just a label.

Our SSL security is the highest possible while remaining cross-platform compatible. You can check and do a security test for our site at https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/

For the archive, I don't think web.archive.org is collecting properly for our site. Even their latest snapshot from Jan 2016 is blank: https://web.archive.org/web/20160111195604/http://whaleclub.co/

You can learn about our history here: I gave an interview recently with more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJqMjtXIbXQ

Hello,

We pull low-latency, real-time price data from multiple liquidity providers and provide our own price feed. It is based directly on the bitcoin markets and all bitcoin price moves are replicated in full on Whaleclub. You can learn more here: https://whaleclub.co/why

I would be careful, smells like a massive Ponzi scheme to me.

also apparently they are something to do with Kalix LTD in New Zealand according to the WHOIS on the domain (unless they are just the web host)

Hello,

The general risk warning is standard across all CFD providers. We just want our users to be aware of the risks of trading.

Our team comes from a software/security/finance background but everyone has traded bitcoin. I (Petar) have done an interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJqMjtXIbXQ and will do many more in the weeks to come.

We have been around since 2014 (see our blog posts for history) although live trading was recently released to the public (it has been available to a subset of users for 6+ months). We are a small team based in Hong Kong.

Your accusation of "alleged ponzi scheme" really burns us as a team because we have been working so hard on Whaleclub.

I understand the skepticism because we only just started announcing the service on bitcoin talk, but we have been active in other communities (Twitter, TradingView, etc.).

You can drop in any time on TradingView chat and ask about us, we have many users from there and have a great partnership with TradingView.

We have thousands of traders that you can follow transparently here: Rankings

Here is our Twitter account: https://twitter.com/whaleclubco

There are many testimonials on Twitter about customer use and satisfaction.

https://twitter.com/gcmingati/status/693125084920307712
https://twitter.com/NebrOKoiN/status/693570782446784514
https://twitter.com/bastol85/status/693231843747983360
https://twitter.com/mjrodovalho/status/694534048794869760

and many more.

That registration information is just our web domain provider, IT Itch. https://ititch.com/

EDIT: I have asked our domain provider to update our Whois with our contact information, not theirs.

It will take some time to build trust with the bitcointalk users but we have no issue with that. Our main goal is customer satisfaction and we work hard on that every day. You can learn more about our company and philosophy here: https://www.whaleclub.co/why

Why are demo spreads higher than live spreads? Can you fix that.

I also noticed people on Twitter using referral links to your site but can't find your affiliates program. I have some friends who want to try and would be nice to get part of their fees.

We have fixed the demo spread issue. Demo spreads are now much closer to real spreads. They are not exactly the same because real trades are based on exposure/internal matching whereas demo trades do not have that.

We have an affiliate program but it is currently private and open only to vetted affiliates. If you would like to try it, please PM me. We offer affiliates 50% of commissions for life.

---

We have released new updates to whaleclub.co:

Updates
  • Transparency, our team, our business model, our mission, etc. in our new About Us section
  • Major performance improvements in trading engine
  • Expanded benefits page
  • New Whaleclub vs The Rest page which allows transparent comparison of Whaleclub and other services
  • Improved withdrawal security, now automatically dispatching email confirmation when 2FA is not enabled
  • Ideas now load on page scroll, not all at once, which makes page load much faster
  • General bug fixes in particular involving demo balance calculations
  • Styling, design, and messaging updates

Do you have any plans to increase the 20BTC limit? I'm maxing out on my trades and have to create multiple accounts to get around it.
