Getting Registrar and Registrant information?

On this forum, I see many people getting registrant/organisation/registrar information that is really detailed.

Where can this information be found? I assume it is on ICANN, is this correct?

https://who.is/ is one site - there are quite a lot of them though. Google "domain who is" that will give you a few of them. It's a bit trickier if they use a proxy privacy service.

ICANN is more for registrar info, rather than registrant info.
