I know, but it wasn't the wrong answer. I put "A coffin" and "coffin", and both times it told me it was the wrong answer. I've heard that riddle before, so I know it's the right answer. Looks like the last time I play on here Sad
Hmm. How about I credit you for the next round. On me. Thats really strange through. The answer was A coffin. if your answer was "A coffin" it would have accepted it. Your answer simply has to be at least 85% similar.

Yeah, I don't understand what happened either, but it's a little frustrating not to win. The 3rd time I tried it told me that the puzzle had already been answered, so I know my answers were going through. Can you check the game logs and see if something messed up or if I did something wrong?

And I appreciate the credit, I'll use it tomorrow and give this one more try.

The winner was:
13PkoCXFNqaqpY7a4bqjJrXxygdVQjKNBa

That was the first official recorded BTC address.
Even if you submit first. The person that actually gets the BTC is the person that submits their BTC address first. This round was the closest round in history. Literally you guys were milliseconds off.

I answered "Coffin," and it was accepted. Almost 100% sure that's exactly how I typed it.

Great. I p'med you a redeem link. I feel bad for you man. Maybe you misspelled it too much not sure. But i'll be making the riddles up myself now. Just to make things more interesting Smiley + I want to prevent close incidents like this. This was just way too close. Not even kidding milliseconds off. I've sent BTC to the address that was recorded first.

That works too. Like I said theres a similarity test. 85% similar at least in order to be accepted. Yours was more than 85 so you were accepted. I don't know what happened with EngiNerd. The system works fine for me. Worked fine for ranlo + the other guy apparently. I'll be checking logs in order to see what happened.

Does it require deposit before we can participate to solve the riddle? I love riddles but paying for this challenge is stopping me trying it. I can get lots of free riddles now a days.

Understandable that you are going to attract people to your site first before making some money from the pot. However, the game is not truly fair. I know this is not a lottery like my site and hence it cannot use a method to select a fair winner. From what I know, the winner is the one that give the correct answer (similar by 90% to what you set) within the shortest prior of time. The loophole (to the participators) here is that there is no way to determine who give the correct answer first.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

It is fair. There is a way of knowing who is first. How is there not a way? Simply. The first person to solve the riddle and enter their BTC address is the winner. And I am able to determine that.

You win BTC for solving riddles. Therefore there is a 0.50$ deposit fee but that just goes towards the pot.

I love riddles, especially if there is a BTC prize attached!

What if instead of doing it the way you are now, you created riddles where the answer was actually a brainwallet?  That way you wouldn't have to worry about who answered it first, or if they answered it with 85% correctness.  They would have to answer it exactly right, and whoever swept the private key first would get it.

I'll think about that idea but for now I'll most likely do this for now. Its a good way to determine who won and I know exactly who won first.

Funny concept but I think you need to work on your site, and maybe get a free mode of the game, for users to test it out.
Also there are no examples on the ridles we will find etc. Maybe having a section with solved riddles, along with the free mode would help.

Finally how do you guarantee that the game is fair?

Click on the winners list. there is a demo that is the free version. Yesterday a user from here already won. There is no 100% way to guarantee it because its lottery but why not try it for 50 cents? Its not like your investing 10,20, or even 50$.

Hi, yesterday you sent me a free credit for today's riddle. I entered my email, redeemed, and it told me I was all set for today. But it's now telling me I need to pay again. Is something wrong?

*EDIT* Nevermind, I figured it out Smiley

It is not fair in the sense that your "players" will not know who answered first. How are we, as the player, know who answered the question first? You, as the administrator, said you can determine who answered first and that is because you have access to the database. We, as the player, do not have access to the database. Even if the player have access to the database, this game is not provably fair at all. Simply because you can edit the database to your gain.

You will need to come with with a method to determine who answered first while the public can also agree with the method.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Wow, very interesting. I like puzzle games and a large fortune if I get gifts offered in the game.
What if instead of doing it in a way you are now, You make a puzzle for which the answer is really brainwallet? That way you don't have to worry about who answered first,. They have to answer that, and anyone's private key the first sweep will get it.
