I don't think anyone actually whinned in this project because this project is very good. We need to care about the development plan of the TRC project. I am very optimistic about TRC because TRC prospect is very big
Developments part should be done by the team because they will raise money during the crowdfunding. I have seen some huge potential about the terracoin which they might some huge development with the roadmap they have to given to their community.

The coin has been released since 2012 and development has been ongoing since then.

Where can I find the original ANN of this coin?
The Terracoin Foundation took over TRC in 2016 because the original developer abandoned it, so this is pretty much the original ANN. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1364146.0

For the research I'm doing about your coin the Terracoin Foundation ANN is not enough, as I can't see whether the original announcement was made before the launch, whether there was a premine, instamine, connection issues and so on. Maybe we can find the original ANN using archive.org? Do you know what was the link of the page?

Great, thank you! Would be nice to see their original bitcointalk thread as well.
I don't remember ever seeing an ANN for TRC, but that doesn't mean there wasn't one. I only saw that site SixofFive linked to. Remember there were only 16 coins around when TRC came out and it wasn't tradition yet to always post an ANN. Also, the original dev was a very private person. I see lots of other Bitcointalk forum threads from random people working on stuff for TRC, but no ANN.

Maybe it can be interesting for TRC Community. I've found this post of crazy_rabbit that states that TRC was created on October 28th, 2012. I'm seeing the poll you've done so I'd like to add my 2 cents. I feel like GPU miners are the fuel of crypto-popularity because there are many, they've made investments so they spread the word about the coin they are mining. Mergemining doesn't lead the coin to popularity because only a small group of very big investors are mining BTC and they don't have time and interest to discuss or promote small coins. PoS is an ecological choice of course, but it makes big holders even bigger so it's not a good choice and also I feel that PoS doesn't make people promoting the coin they are stacking, because they haven't invested into equipment. Another interesting option could be PoC, which is ecological, but requires equipment. The downside is that the community that has PoC equipment is much smaller than GPU miners. So I'd consider to opt for some GPU, possibly ASICs resistant, mining algorithm, X16R for instance.

I am not sure if crazy_rabbit was just mistaken or what. I talked with crazy_rabbit before the TRC Foundation take over of TRC and he didn't have any new info or anything to provide. Though he did seem interested in the take over at the time, but I never heard anything from him again. As for mining we were more recently talking about either multi-algo GPU mining or creating an algo of our own that doesn't have the weaknesses of PoW and PoS. I think ASIC resistance is pretty important at this point. We definitely want to get away from PoW and maybe merge mining as well.

Appreciated the newest weekly update, from which I knew that there are some positive things occured recent days: Masternode count increased, request sent to three hardware wallet providers, and as you can see below, current price is just 4 times lower than the coin price one year ago. that is not too bad, IMO. recently we have seen a growth of over a 100+ masternodes join the network.
Since we are counting things, I thought I would throw in that TheSin has put in pull requests to three different hardware wallets!
One month ago, we were at 0.00000293 BTC (.0230 USD) and today we are at 0.0000185 BTC (.0212 USD). A year ago, we were at 0.00001535 BTC (.0978 USD).

Yep! Every weekly shows the numbers regardless if they are good or bad. We also have a public ledger showing our Team proposal dgov spending: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KyU2g5XjrzwYlswde9GzOT6N26n-CJpx7LviYgBvCXc/edit#gid=1357290009&range=A1We also have a static roadmap: https://wiki.terracoin.io/view/RoadmapAnd a dynamic roadmap: https://trello.com/b/3RJU8m6t/terracoinThanks for joining the community!
