What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020

If we have 8% of all people  using bitcoin. And increases 3% every month then by year 2020 ,half of all the people worlwide is using bitcoin on that time.

I agree that around 5% - 15% of global population will own bitcoin by 2020.  There are lots of country that don't have access to internet so that will be the first problem.  Second is the on going bad press about bitcoin which make merchants to have second thought on adopting bitcoin .  Added the illiteracy of people on using digital gadget.

Its difficult to calculate the exact number of users by that time but one thing is sure that we will see most of the people would be in bitcoin  till then.

Something around fourteen percent sounds reasonable.

I doubt we will see more then 1 billion adopters within 10 years. Progress of bitcoin is going steady but slow.
The rate the adoption is going right now makes me even wonder we will see it in 15 years. Reaching 100M would be a great milestone.

Yaa it is not possible to be above 30%  in 2020 and even after the decade. People living is the developed countries and the ones that have smart device and internet can use Bitcoins. As a matter of fact half the population of the world live in poverty !!!

You are right and I think, we the early adopters of bitcoin will have more opportunity to be rich in the fortune. We just need to hold tight now and make sure we will not be easily affected when crisis happens. That is the secret to stay in the game and to achieve fortune.

It's a very difficult question, since we do not even now the number of current Bitcoin users. I think anything above 1% (> 70 million people) must be considered a huge success. Personally I did an even more optimistic prediction choosing 2-5%.

The reason for not choosing a higher percentage number is the extremely high percentage of people who are basically excluded from modern civilization. Bitcoin can only grow within modern societies with affordable and well developed internet access. That basically limits widespread adoption to the Western World (for now).

Of course, all we know is that the user are increasing on a daily basis and that affected the volume of transactions online. It is still early in 2020 so I believe we are not that big as we need to wait for more years for the transition period for those who would love to adopt with bitcoins.

for me i think 40 to 50 percent of people will be using bitcoin in in 2020. i think about 30 percent people may be still be able to know how to use computer or internet therefore these people may be able to get benifit from that.

why there should be? i dont think it is required at the moment, in my opinion something like 30 per cent of the earth people will be using their bitcoins all the time, at least thats what i hope for right now

You can calculate it on the block chain. Or maybe on the people who registered at Bitcointalk. For example there is approximately 700,000+ Users here in Bitcointalk, then calculate it on the date you start it and try to calculate again at year 2020 . For me, maybe there will be Approximately 3 Million Users who are using Bitcoin on that year. That's how you can calculate it. But that's only my prediction.

What? Even, it is impossible since we only have .05% of current population that uses bitcoin, 80% is like 5 billion of all population in the world and we're not even half of that. Do you know that there are only 5million users that use bitcoin all over the world?

It's true that bitcoin is use globally but the scale of the users is not big as what you think.
