Out of the 188 voters these two are dumb, they have no idea about what is bitcoin and they maybe here for some reason and not really interested. I wish we will know who voted for that and ask them what are their basis?

Even if you're able to do that, they would probably not respond or just say dumb explanation.

I voted for 0-2%. 1% of the population of the Earth would be 70 million which is still a big number. We're like 1 million right now (just an assumption)? We can't expect for the population to blow up that fast in just a little more than 3 years from now. 1 million of 7 billion is ~0.0014%. In case somebody popular starts promoting bitcoins, we might double in population. That would still be around ~0.0028%. The majority of people just don't care and will never care about bitcoins in these next years.

I'd like to see 10-20 % but probably cant happen, we only have 2 billion on the internet i hear - dont know how that can be so low.  Probably even 1% would been a huge market cap.

And 31 people also voted 10-20 percent, don't you think that is too much as well? getting 10 % of the worlds population in bitcoin by just 4 years is really unrealistic, even if we could reach 5% it would be a really great achievement for bitcoin as world population is really big, it is not just like one country.

Base on my simple  calculation. The percentage of the bitcoin users to the worlds population is certainly not going to grow up that fast. My analysis would be old folks that uses bitcoin dies probably on 2020 it listen the users. Some will adopt bitcoin does that mean that the percentage would grow? Nope not actually in 2020 would grow as well so it would be deducted  to the current bitcoin users percentage.

It's not so easy to say like it sounds. Bitcoin is only 7 years and it don't hass small number of users. And 7 year is nothing for it, we have full future hear. To discuss with blockchain's users is good one, also we have to see blocktrail's statistics. Also this website plays main factor, people who are registered here, everyone knows about bitcoins.
P.S many people won't own 1 full bitcoin but there will be 3-5 percent on the earth which will own it's part (0.001 is part of 1 bitcoin and whole bitcoins)

If predictions that will be a steady trend of bitcoin price to go upwards come true, more and more people will try to buy even a fraction of it. So, the number of people will rise very quickly. Furthermore, we must consider that next halving is somewhere there and many people even have not a satoshi will run to buy. So I believe about 10%-15 % will own bitcoin at 2020

Its only unrealistic because of the 3rd world and any corrupt govs.  In the west 10% could happen it depends on the next bubble.  People say bitcoin might be the background tool to money anyway so maybe people wont know they are using it.

Little over 15 % will be still small amount for this time i hope we will increase out community to over 30 % that would be greater success

I think it is still too early for bitcoin user to have 90% of the total world population in 2020, I think four years is still too fast. maybe in the total bitcoin users are not much different from now #imo

I used to think that Bitcoin will be denied by the governments but the last news are making it look like Bitcoin is going to be a model for them: Sweden's going to have their own e-cash, Switzerland is going to accept Bitcoin in their Central Bank and already is accepting it for buying tickets.. If the things are going to keep evolving this way, Bitcoin will be probably then used by >17M people in 2020.

I'd say 0-2%. 1% is 74 326 630 people. When I doubt there's even 1 million bitcoiners, we'll never hit that number in less than two decades ...

Today, more than half of the world lives below global poverty line, and >80% live on less than $10 a day. These figures increase each year as differential gaps continue to widen.

It's difficult for me to imagine these people owning bitcoins, or substantial amounts for that matter.

Until bitcoin becomes more accessible, until the community becomes less elitist and more inclusive, until profit becomes a secondary drive, we won't see this trend reversing.

yeah if you know the total world population was about 3 billion people, it is a very large number. while total bitcoin users can be fairly small, probably only about 3 million and 4 years may be about 5 million users, it might be about 3% -5%

Good estimate, if happens it's going to be another progressive years to come. That's what we want that people will be coming in so the demand will increase.

And I think the majority of that 2 billion is consist of teenagers. I think half of the people can't afford the internet and some don't have any reception in their place. Some people just aren't techy and did stick with the simple call & text thing. And some other percentage of the total population is consist of people that are too old or too young for the internet, and those physically or mentally sick to use a gadget.

All of these reasons just removed the majority of the people in the planet that's why we can't have that much bitcoin users. Actually 10-20% of the population is still a very huge number and having that much bitcoin users would surely pump the market.

I guess by that time if we continue to improve the popularity of Bitcoin, we can expect to have 60% of people to hold Bitcoin. But if the governments would produce their own cryptocurrency this would result to a great decline in Bitcoin and the number of people holding Bitcoin will drop enourmously. I do hope we reach a point where Bitcoin or a cryptocurrency would be the main payment method.
